Bottom line is no one in RJJ's camp is willing to tell him to hang em up, and when they were talking about the first fight last night, RJJ had a little of that muffled, nasal, punchdrunk sounding speech in his tone, which is very bad. He's never sounded like that. He needs to quit.
I don't think roy has any speech problems, fight problems.. yes. lol

After Roy got sparked out in the first round by some nobody, I never dreamed this fight would still go on, or that it would be PPV to boot.

Fricken Hopkins talks about fighting Haye, Adamek, Dawson/Johnson winner. Then he fights this shell. Unbelievable.

Roy will always be my favorite. But I have to say, thats the last time I buy a $50 dollar ppv of his. I got suckered in for the last time. unless he fights another sheika, i'll watch that. But Im not paying $50 for another roy fight. Its robbery...lol

I don't know man, if you can download the fight, and go to the part before they walked out, where they were showing highlights and talking about the first fight, RJJ had some slight James Toney/Shane Mosley nasal speech going on.

I'm fearful of this. I've loved watching Roy be Superman. I wish he would have retired after the Tito fight. it would have been the perfect way to go out. RJJ in his prime would have smoked Calzaghe after scoring that knockdown, after losing that fight, he should have known it was well past over. If he does fight again, it should be a farewell victory against a top 15ish Light Heavy, go out with a win, and save his brain. I really don't want to see one of the marvels of the sport go out like that.

^ could have been the sound. Could have been the way he was talking at that time, could have even been a cold. roy is notorious for getting sinus problems before fights.
