I said the same thing that Tarver's weight loss effected him in his fight with Hopkins. But the same goes for Tarver getting Jones. At least Tarver found out even if he doesn't want to admit it publically.
Jones Jr, Tarver, Bryd...all did the same damn thing and at their age, what did they expect their odds to be to come out healthy? Too risky. Even Freddie Roach brought it up with regards to Oscar. When will fighters pay attention to history and the odds.

I wouldn't say he is ruining the sport.
I haven't seen this fight yet but I am disappointed from
what I've read this far. People have a right to follow their dreams
and we have a right to not buy the fights.

Wishing someone a bad life is bad karma my friend.

For once Richard is rite, now if he REALLY tells b-hop face to face to retire is a different thing.still think he will fight.the only HW I can see him beat maybe is the other old ass, HW James Toney, I think he has the nabo or ibo belt.it wouldn't sell for **** but it would add to "legacy" in that he won a hw belt. Even though it shouldn't count cuz let's be real it is Toney after all.if he would have been sent out on a stretcher last nite he wouldn't have heard the last of that from Roy or any other fighter out there .

Hop doesn't get hit cleanly often but it would only take one showt from Haye to end his career. Hope he doesn't go that route.

I don't see how he could possibly beat Haye. He should either retire or fight Dawson.
