          1. Hopkins needed a break. Same thing he did with Calzaghe with those 'low blows'.

          2. To break Jones' momentum, the second time he went down was when Jones was getting momentum, Jones was putting together his best work of the fight when Hopkins went down.

          3. He wanted to make the referee take points away from Jones which did happen.

                  Totally agree. It was to break the momentum. Totally cowardly way to do it - but it worked.
