Its pretty much over for him as far as being able to beat the best at 175 and I guess Hopkins thinks higher weights too.

If Haye hit him with a rabbit punch, there would be no acting required.

If it doesn't something fishy will be up. With all due respect to Hop, there are much more deserving fighters for the top 10 than himself. He had a great run, but his time is over when talking top p4p fighters.

Nah, they will let him skate

They won't take him off until he's inactive for a year or two as is their custom.

I agree kind of... Roy was trying to counter, but. everytime he got read to throw a punch, he sees Nards head coming right for him, and has to fall backwards, and cover up.

There was a point in the fight were he tried to stand his ground, I think in the 2nd round when he got the first cut, but Nard just followed through and headbutt VERY hard. After that point Roy was scared of headbutts.

I don't know Shawn. I think Hop gave Roy plenty of opportunities to at least throw punches and Roy couldn't get it done. Even when he did punch it was mostly one at a time. He just doesn't have the confidence in whats left of his reflexes to let his hands go anymore. At least thats how it seems to me.

I've had him out for a long time. JMM should drop out of it too.

Not for nothing, but who thought they would ever see the day when John Ruiz was more exciting than Roy Jones? Times, they are a changing!

Also...how bad is Hopkins acting? Christ!
At 45, he's been off it for a while IMO. Hopkins has not been in top form for a long time now. At least since the Trinidad fight. The Pavlik fight for me just showed how overrated Pavlik really is. Hopkins will still beat one dimensional fighters like that. He still has exceptional skills but he's an old fighter with limited stamina now. A young, fast, busy fighter with stamina should beat Hopkins every time now. That's why he avoids fighters like Chad Dawson. He's still skilled enough to avoid being KO'd but he better stay away from David Haye or he'll get stopped for the first time. I think it goes without saying that Roy Jones has been shot for a while.

Is this card worth downloading? I was going to, but judging by the comments, I'm not sure I want to...

In regards to taking Hopkins off The Ring rankings, while I haven't seen the fight yet, this is the same magazine that still has Caballero and Donaire in their top ten.

                      No offense, Jreck.
