After seeing this .my observations are these. Solis never had good footwork and yet he was lighter. Now he fights flat footed and is actually less explosive. He does still carry some speed to be so horribly overweight.
His chin seemed to be rocked very easily and he had head gear. he is fighting more carefull now and is controling fights better. It looks like his conditioning has made his fighting style a more difficult one. Not better , but he is fighting a more technical fight. I say if he was still in that shape and would fight the way he fights now he had it easily , but his horrible shape actually gives Haye a better and bigger chance.

If Haye caught Solis with a punch like that in the pro's what do you surmise would happen?

WITHOUT headgear? Solis has looked impressive against guys who are fringe contenders, but Solis is in terrible condition. He is slower than he was in the AM's his stamina is going to be worse. Haye in his last two fights showed he has the stamina to go in the late rounds and still land hard concussive shots. I thought he was just as disciplined in the 12th round against Valuev as he was in the first.

THE Bottom line is, Haye IS better than he was in the amateur ranks, he proved that by beating guys like Fragomeni, Mormeck, Valuev, Enzo and Ruiz in the fashion he did. Solis has come out of the amateurs with a stellar AM record and put on 60 pounds.

Headgear doesn't protect you from uppercuts to the chin.

Also, that uppercut was ****, didn't even drop him. Solis was out the way before the ref could get in to give him the 8count. Fluke punch, his best of the fight, after which Solis systematically took him apart.

But that's aside the point. Haye isn't as quick now as he was in the AMs, and he looked sloppy as **** today.

                Solis would walk him down.

And to all the people here saying it's a joke that Hamed could beat mayweather at 126 in both their primes. I'll just say this, if Judah, a southpaw, could drop him (He DID drop him), then Hamed definitely has a chance.

Man listen to me for a sec. Solis is a slow power punchin Cuban wit no lateral movement and little head movement. He doesn't have good stamina, but it hasn't been tested, but I mean dude comes in at 260-270 WHICH IS RIDICULOUS BRO!! Haye would wear him down and into the later rounds and probably win a decision. Whatever though, it ain't gonna happen cuz Solis is fightin WBC eliminator and is on way to fightin Vitali and losin a wide wide wide UD.

Haye would not win a UD against him if he fights the same way he did Ruiz today.

C'mon are you seriously impressed with Haye's performance today?? Do you really think it was anything special??
