Solis is flat footed and has to plant his feet before he throws any of his power shots. Haye would dance circles around him and pot shot until he got the KO. Two different classes of fighters here, really..
Seems kinda random you bring up this fat Cuban as a man to beat Haye, if I remember correctly Haye rocked Solis badly in their am fight before running out of gass and being stopped because of the points?
Haye trains like a Spartan while Solis goes to Mcdonalds every day, I like Haye to win although I admitt I haven't seen much of Solis recently.
There are plenty of examples of where the amateurs is completely different from the Pros.
It's ridiculously hard to KO or hurt someone at the top level in AM boxing with one shot and Haye hurt Solid badly. Haye has improved as a fighter by A LOT, his stamina, defence etc. Everything has improved. Haye isn't the same fighter Carl Thompson managed to beat, and it stands to reason that he wouldn't be the same fighter Solis beat in the AM's
Solis's skill set may have gotten better, but he's in horrible shape especially compared to his amateur days and AM's have no real relevance to the Pro's Pavlik lost to Taylor twice in the am's, Hearns had 11 KO's in ams out of 163 fights. Cotto lost twice to Kelson Pinto in the amateurs, Cotto KO'd him in 6.
Solis at his current discipline is trash against the elite.
Sure he has great amateur credentials, but that was 60 pounds ago. He's a top 10-20 contender in the heavyweight division, which isn't saying much. His block and counter style is the exact same style Arreola uses, but Arreola has more power.
It'd be a good fight, but Solis would get knocked out.

I'll admit you bring up good points.
However based on their first fight and their recent performances, preferred styles, Power, I still think it would play out easily for Solis.
And frankly, aside from the Klits, can you imagine a more suitable fight? I heard Haye is possibly fighting Valuev, again.
Hey, the only reason I brought up Solis is because there's a history there between the two. Let's see if Haye has really improved.
solis has done as much as haye did at heavyweight before he got HIS title shot...which is absolutely nothing.
oh wait, solis KO'd monte barrett too. maybe solis has earned his title shot.
and haye is NOT the best heavy in the world. it takes more than beating an old john ruiz to earn that title.

It is the same style more or less, but Solis has greater range with the left hook, which he used to wipe out Barrett in two rounds. The same Barrett that granted Haye his title shot against Valuev. So how does that not qualify him to get a shot at Haye?
The argument is there, that Solis would beat Haye, again.
