So Haye weighted in at 220, and Ruiz as I I understand it 229 right?

(Sky news said Haye was 9lbs lighter so...)

Nice one Locke, so yeah 5 lbs heavier than his last outing with Valuev then, and his heaviest weight yet.

I can see Haye only weighing 225+ from now on.

Here’s a little John Ruiz story for you guys….

John Ruiz was born in Methuen, Massachusetts and grew up in suburb of Boston called Chelsea (he now lives in Las Vegas). When he was amateur and early on in his professional career he lived there and become somewhat of a local hometown hero…

So, about 8-9 years ago, I was in my early 20’s, still in college, and was dating this girl who happened to live in Chelsea. I had spent the night over her house; so I left her house and walked over to the bus stop on Washington Street. As I’m waiting for the bus, I see this news van with a camera set up on a platform followed by the one and only John “The Quiet Man” Ruiz running behind! It so happened that he was preparing for his upcoming fight with Evander Holyfield and doing his morning roadwork and the local news station was obviously doing a quick sports story on him...

It was memorable to say the least and maybe I'll run into him again sometime!...
