BoxingScene.com has received word from Top Rank that next Friday at Yankee Stadium in New York City, Miguel Cotto and WBA junior middleweight champion Yuri Foreman will officially announce their June 5 bout. Foreman's WBA title will be on the line. Cotto-Foreman is the first fight to be staged at Yankee Stadium since September 28, 1976, when Muhammad Ali retained the WBA/WBC heavyweight titles with a twelve round decision over Ken Norton. Steward would have been perfect for Cotto years ago. It's too late now, too much wear and tear on Miguel.
He should still have enough left to beat Foreman though.

as a huge fan of Cotto I am genuinely excited to see him with a great trainer that he deserves. Evangelista was really good with cotto but Steward is on another level and i'm hopeful that he can fix a few flaws in Cotto and keep him around for a few more years without taking anymore beatings. I wish them both the best of luck.
