You do realize that 100k PPV buys is about 5.5 million right? If the PPV does that, Roy will make a couple million or a little less. Lets say it does 250k buys, well thats about 13.75 million between both fighters, etc. I'd say 250k is within reach and they should both make out pretty good on the deal.

FYI 100K buys does not mean that 5.5 million is going straight into the pockets of Jones and Hopkins. There are more than a couple hands getting a piece of that pie and that is assuming that it does 100K buys.

The contract says that Hopkins will get the first 3.5 million AFTER EXPENSES. That probably includes the purses for all the undercard fighters, the production costs and who knows what else.

There may not even be 3.5 million for Hopkins in which case Jones gets 0.

Of course we will probably never know the truth. The numbers will get fudged and everyone will be lead to believe Roy got paid a couple bucks.

Calzaghe prooved himself as a top LHW, who has Dawson fought? Shot Tarver and Johnson, great wins. Also Dawson lost to Johnson was he was just a little less shot so i find that **** laughable. Keep bolding letters and going uppercase, I aint here to argue nonsense.

At this point in time Dawson would smoke Hokpkins at LHW....he would also outbox all fighters in the SUPER 6.......he would have beaten Joe at 175 aswell. All this and he hasn't even reached his full potential.....

To me this sad because I was a big fan of both, now I want Jones to retired and I am disappointed Hopkins even took the fight. I would not be suprised if it ended before the 2nd round.

As good as Roy was he shouldnt be this bad, dude is embarrasing right now... I dont blame B-Hop for taking this fight or RJ for wanting the fight... BHop wants to prove he is and was better then RJ and RJ vic verca.... I mean I love boxing and im gonna love watchin this boxing match the results while predicatable... Dont be suprised if where all in for a show tmrw... MY 60 bucks is spent on the legacy of the two and puttin them in the ring just makes it more worth it...IMO

Here's what ya got. First off, I know the total PPV funds don't go straight in their pockets. F.ucking duh.

What you are not taking into account is sponsorships, gate ticket sales. Site fees and then, finally you get down to PPV revenue. If this fight sells anything just over 100K buys(it will), Jones will get a decent payday. Somewhere in the 2 million range when all is said and done. That's after B-hop gets his gauranteed 3.5 million. They both have to pay their camps out of their purses as I understand it as I understand it anyways. So that's a given.

I estimate that the PPV does about 300-350k buys and he will take home in the neighborhood of 5 million before he pays his camp. That's not too bad at this point in his career for 6 weeks of training and a good possibility of losing a decision wide or being stopped.
