It is a great matchup. I am excited for it, I can't wait. I think Floyd will win a decision. I just think he is quicker in pulling the trigger at this point. But, I have a few e-points in Shane since they gave me pretty good odds I feel.

One thing I found interesting Dazed is that Floyd has NEVER fought anybody with a longer reach then him. Floyd reach was longer than Corrales and Oscar. Shane would be the first guy that Floyd has fought that has a longer reach him. I found that interesting since you told me that Shane might have to outbox Floyd at time. I don't know serious the reach is for this fight. But, I just found it interesting that for the first time Floyd's pro career he won't have the advantage in the reach department.
That's a great find. I think Shane's jab is a little underrated (was suck a great weapon against Oscar the first time - he rediscovered it against Margarito) and I can see him offsetting a lot of what Floyd does with that. In fact, if he's able to utilize his reach and work the stick, Floyd's in trouble. ****, I think Floyd's in trouble anyway. But I also think Floyd and Roger see the same thing you do (re: reach) and they are looking to keep the fight on the inside, where Floyd's defense is masterful. he is an excellent in-fighter and I suspect he'll want to push Shane off and land that right repeatedly.

What's your basis for him to "sit back and pick Shane apart"? Just curious. Not ONE boxer has been successful doing that to Shane.

Not one boxer has been as skilled as Floyd I know how Shane is gonna come out he is gonna be throwing thows wide hooks and if Floyd can dodge counter and move in that order then work the body in the clintches he will be in good shape you know what I'm sayin

Flipping that around, no fighter Floyd has ever faced will present him the kind of problems Shane can. Maybe Castillo - and that was difficult for Floyd both times. Backing up against Shane is a bad move. Floyd may do it for a couple rounds early on but his best bet is to stay close and I guarantee that's what he tries to do.

I agree Floyd should fight on the inside but tryna walk down Shane like he did Zab is not a good idea look Shane is wild and is gonna throw wild punches and Shane is not hard to hit so the best bet would be to counter vs tryna walk down a guy bigger and stronger than he is you feel me

I hear you. If Floyd has to walk Shane down, he's in trouble. Shane is crafty and will walk him right into a big punch. In fact, I'm guessing that is Shane's plan. And I suspect his plan B is to just rough Floyd up. Talk about a role reversal.

It's always like this. I remember people used to say that the kind of fighter who would beat Roy Jones was someone who wouldn't stop punching, would rough him up, make him fight, yada yada. Instead it was a patient counterpuncher who used his jab well (Tarver).
