Webb, i remember when i taught my little sister how to drive...she picked up well...was handling the road pretty good...but when it was time for her to borrow my car, that anxiety came over me real nasty...that's the same anxiety i have when it comes to Lane running the show

Right, I saw that as well. That is good though. He pushes guys to really compete because they have SO MANY VERY GOOD PLAYERS AT EACH POSITION. I'm really looking forward to seeing how things go @ Southern Cal.

Wow...I must say that I'm not real big on Lane. Everywhere he has been the head guy, there has not really been any real success. He is @ SC now and even if he is the WORST coach in the nation, the talent there will MORE than make up for that. They just better win the Pac 10 this year I know that much!

I am starting to think now that you really are underrating Maidana. I think Khan would outbox him. But, to bet your account that Malignaggi could? Come on... How did Malignaggi do in the rematch with Ndou? or his fight fight with Ngoudju? Does Malignaggi has to power to keep Maidana off of him? And, Malignaggi will get hit he is not that slick.
I think youre still viewing Paulie as the boxer he was when he was with McGirt. That Paulie would lose. That Paulie stopped using his best asset, his footwork.

The Paulie that fought Cotto, Ndou in the first fight and Diaz would beat Maidana. Maidana's boxing skills are medicore and Paulie has a chin of stone. Paulie would be pot shotting Maidana on his backfoot all day long.

PAC-10 has caught up man...we didnt win it with Pete last year...

i think he did ok in Oakland considering the situation...he had my Raiders playing hard for a while...we even went into Denver and finally won there

at Tennessee, well, he never really got the ball rolling...he was still dealing with Fullmer's recruits...Lane is 'ok' but i dont think he's the type of premier coach to run the SC program..

i hope im wrong tho...i kinda felt the same way with Pete when he first came in but he brought in Norm Chow with him so i wasnt 'that' worried

Again you're underrating Maidana bro and what he brigns to the table.

First of all Malignaggi got his ass whooped by Cotto. And, Cotto was a walking dead zombie.

And, Diaz was ruined by Nate and JMM by the time he fought Malignaggi. Plus Diaz didn't have the power to make Malignaggi uncomfortable in there like Maidana does.

There is no need to downgrade Maidana in order to defend Khan. I would highly favor Maidana over Malignaggi. There is nothing that Malignaggi does that will discourage Maidana. If Ortiz who is skilled knocked Maidana down and still couldn't discourage him then I don't know what Paule could do.

I'm not underrating Maidana. I rank him at #5 in the 140 division. I agree with you that its almost impossible to discourage Maidana. But I do think that Paulie can frustrate [not discourage] Maidana with his footwork and stingy jab.

But, you can also turn that around and say Maidana could frustrate Malignaggi with his pressure and power. Might even discourage him. You not really looking what Maidana really brings to the table. Maidana is a totally different animal then Juan Diaz.

I think he just hates Madiana because he knows Maidana would knock out Khan. Haha, j/k.

Hmmm...yes Maidana is bigger and stronger then Diaz. He might frustrate Paulie at times but I still favor Paulie to win. An interesting fact: have you noticed that Maidana only wins fights if his opponents brawl with him? When was the last time Paulie brawled? Paulie would never brawl.
