What happens if Roy beats Bernard?

Man, I know it's a longshot, but has anyone really seriously thought about it? What if Roy beats Hopkins this weekend? Does that hurt those spectacular performances by Hopkins over the last few years? I mean, Roy is admittedly done, even by me, his biggest supporter, but if he manages to beat Hopkins at this point, it really , really looks bad on the old man B-Hop. Sure he was more competitive with Calzaghe because of his slick defense, but if he loses to Roy or doesn't soundly beat him, there's a problem.

Give your opinion on the matter. I would love to see Roy win but can't see it happening, but if it did I think Hopkins will seriously regret the decision to fight Roy again. It would be close to career suicide at this point. I don't think he would ever live it down.

Can't wait to see the fight saturday! Hope everyone here tunes in to see two legends. I just couldn't miss it.

If Roy wins this fight he will think he's back to the Roy of 1997 and start believing he can beat young fighters like Chad Dawson thinking he can be pound for pound 1# again and end up in Jim Lampleys lap head 1st next to Max Kellerman and Emanuel Steward,

If he beats B-Hop, he won't retire for another 2-5 years.

If Hop gets beat, we'll start hearing clowns saying all his recent opponents were overrated.

How's the card to this fight anyway? Cuz if it's bad, I may not be sober enough to watch the main event. Jones-calzaghe undercard was god awful but this one looks like it may be halfway decent. SRL is commentating too!

Bernard would look really bad obviously and to regain some of his status must beat someone like Chad Dawson or retire with ppl saying look he beat mostly smaller guys and just wasn't that good because the only fighter his size he beat was a weight drained Tarver.

Then maybe Roy will try to avenge the loss to Danny Green, and Glen Johnson, and Tarver.....but probably get ko'd by 1 or all of them.

I don't see Tarver knocking anybody out at this point in his career. I seriously do think the green fight was a fluke. Johnson will prolly stop him again.

IDK Tarver has not declined that much, he was competitive with Dawson which is more than I think Roy and Bernard could do at this stage.

Then he can retire in piece with a late career defining victory.
