I will be moving this summer and I already did some research about local boxing gyms in that area. I found one close by, but i have a few questions for the people that already do this. I have never trained for boxing before so I would be considered as novice as they come. How much does it cost and how are payments paid usually to boxing gyms? monthly? also how many days a week and hours per day do you train when you first start out?
I would like to start training to box...a few questions.

Some gyms do cheap day rates, some charge by month. Every gym is different.I will be moving this summer and I already did some research about local boxing gyms in that area. You can pay cash or use plastic if you sign up to a contract.
As a noob you will probably only work out 1 hour max. Assuming you're already in some kind of boxing shape, you can do more.Comment

The price depends on the gym but the city gyms are the least expensive, our gym charges $50 a year and thats basically an insurance that covers any accidents in the gym, that would be your best bet, but it all matters where your located and what type of gym you go to, it also depends on what type of coach you have, they expect you to put up with what they tell you to do so, be ready and good luck.Comment

true. A good gym depends on you and your trainer. Last time I worked out I was 19 and my trainer charged me 25 a month just for assurance I showed up and not waste his time. All u need is good trainer that's patient, a bag, some mits, and a hell of a work ethic and you'll be fine. Depending on your age if you in your teens you just got to show up every day and put an effort, trainers don't like to wast their time. But it is usually cheap, before you go make sure your cardio is good, you can't learn if you are winded outComment
