Mentally, is getting diqualified better then to lose?

You can never count Arthur Abraham out because he has knocked quite a few opponents out in the 12th round and Andre Dirrell was getting tired in the later rounds...I'm just saying...

Lets say Arthur wouldnt have KO'd Dirrell and therefore would have lost the fight. Was that DQ the best thing that could have happened to Arthur? Mentally, is getting diqualified better then to lose?

I think it is. Especially for Arthur. That DQ is the best thing that could have happened to Arthur. Now he can blame others for that fight and say **** like:
    • Dirrell was acting,
    • I could have KO'd him if they hadn't stopped the fight
    • He didn't beat me I got disqualified

If he would have lost he would have no one to blame but himself.

see rjj vs griffin. (tho roy, unlike abraham, wasn't dominated... the shock from the loss was nonexistent)

i'd say yes! because by being disqualified there's always the "what ifs" "what would've" and "what would be" if they fight again.. it's like it was unfinished.

Yup, like what others say what ifs. I don't think AA intentionally did it because things happened so fast. In slow-mo everything look intentional but in real-time it looks like it could be by accident. I know what is like being in that boxing-ring and its quite hectic.

DQs aren't as bad as decision losses or KO losses, most fighters will still have the mentality of being cheated, or it was just one of those weird fights. like i said, the shock, usually resulting from a loss won't affect them usually. imo, it's similar to winning a decision and being robbed.

I agree but do you think that it could also be a mental boost? Like, the only way they can beat me is by cheating.
