Again that goes off of personality..if he's loud and obnoxious..that's HIS STYLE some people love it (like my girl) some people HATE it (like yourself)..I could give a **** about how he acts..he's a good boxer and his style is appealing to me in the ring..look at Prince Naseem, Floyd Mayweather jr, Ricardo Mayorga, etc..they were all different but seemed like they all "tried" too hard to gain that limelight..some did some didn't..

I can admit they are all great..so it's far from envy..I don't know why exactly I don't like them..I just don't!..I'm not gonna sit here and jot down pro's and con's..cuz I'm a GROWN ASS MAN who knows and fully understands that I just can't like everyone in life..I can respect them tho..

and no, i don't even need to look for him to see him, he is clearly trying to make himself known by nagging his 2-inch lipgloss coated mouth on every boxing issue to get mentioned in the headlines.

i can't just skip him because he is a part of boxing and no it's not just that i hate him to hate him... i don't know, i'm probably just one of those rare people who just doesn't get amused by attention whores...
Maybe you are one of those who hates attention whores..but that might not even be his intention...the media, for some reason come to him for opinions and he gives it how he feels..what's not to respect about that?..one thing I always disliked about Miguel Cotto (my favorite boxer) is he would never name the opponent he wanted next..all he would say is "My company chooses who I fight next..and I train and fight him next"..

When you realize that Paulie is a BOXER of our era who's got something this entire era is lacking..which is BALLS..he's willing to speak up about how crooked and political boxing is..AND is willing to get in the ring with the biggest KILLERS in his division..and not just for a pay check..cuz he doesn't dive..if he loses..he's getting MANGLED in the process and will give it his ALL for every round he's in there..PERIOD!..

Moral of the story is..You don't like Paulie?..cool..many people don't..but you HAVE TO RESPECT HIM!..period!

It was ******, their shouldn't have been a force-rematch unless Juan Diaz was nice enough to give him one. But if it was forced some how thats bull****. A robbery is when someone clearly wins an its obvious. But in their first fight it was a back and fourth fight where at times Juan Diaz looked good, and at times Paulie looked good. In their rematch only Paulie looked good and piled up rounds rather easily compared to the first.
diaz was forced into it. HBO probably said, fight malignaggi or don't fight at all.

you're right, paulie's STYLE is probly targetted at those oxygen, lifetime, desperate housewives-loving type of fans.

Naz, mayorga, even floyd didn't really try too hard imo. they fit their roles perfectly that they come off natural, they seem to be pretty comfortable with it. paulie just looks like a plain douche, lmao.

no offense bro, but how can you call yourself a GROWN ASS MAN when you can't even explain how or why you don't like some boxers? i mean i know i hate paulie and i admit it but at least i can explain why and how, and that means when he changes the traits (not that he has to, why the hell does paulie have to care about what i think anyway) i mentioned i hate, i can stop hating him.

sounds to me like you actually hate the fighters themselves and not the traits. if that's the case then there is probably no way for you to stop hating them.

i don't have any problems with opinions as long as the person stating his opinions can back it up (specially when he's dealing with sensitive issues that can hurt someone else's career) with facts and evidences. you call it balls? you mean to tell me those gossiping high school girls are ballsy? or maybe those treehuggers/PETA people who keep nagging about how the environment/animals should be protected are also ballsy!

AND is willing to get in the ring with the biggest KILLERS in his division..and not just for a pay check..cuz he doesn't dive..if he loses..he's getting MANGLED in the process and will give it his ALL for every round he's in there..PERIOD!..
most nonmainstream boxers are like that. when you don't have a name and you are desperate, you have no choice but to accept the fights that will get you there. but yes you are right, that is actually a respectable trait.

Moral of the story is..You don't like Paulie?..cool..many people don't..but you HAVE TO RESPECT HIM!..period!
i respect people not just based on the actions they've done inside the ring but also based on how they carry themselves just like how i very highly respect the soldiers who did their service to this country but i don't mind calling them out when they start acting like a fcking douche. paulie is an attention whore, at least at the moment, and yes, i don't mind calling him out for his ******ity and plain douchebaggery.

The most likely reason is that perhaps his father is bald. Anyway, I like Malinaggi, he is brave, a good fighter, and always gets into the ring with opponents who are bigger and far stronger than he, yet keeps his confidence up. What difference does it make to anyone how he wears his hair??

My guess is that the network (HBO) probably wanted to see it happen. And we all know that whatever HBO wants, HBO gets.

Paulie is good at talking and convincing people to view his way. Remember all the bull**** he spewed before the fight claiming the rings too small for him, boxing gloves etc. He said everything favored Diaz and that Diaz had unfair advantages. Either man could have gotten the nod in the first fight, Paulie whined his way to a rematch and he definitely did whoop Diaz in the rematch but their was no ass whooping the first fight at all.

Diaz had a lot of advantages in the first fight, including a 138.5 weight limit, which negated Malignaggi's size advantages. The fight was also in an 18x18 ring which is very small by boxing standards.

That the first fight could have gone either way is a testament to Malignaggi, not an indictment.
