A ko victory would have been nice, but I personnaly didn't want the ko to happen before rounds 8 or 9. I'm pretty happy Tua had to go 12 in the end, because there were a lot of question marks surrounding his stamina after a long layoff (and being 235 lbs). The destruction of Cameron didn't answer any of these. Now, it looks like he has good stamina since he went 12 with Friday, so he can start fighting the bigger names without having to fear to fade.

I want to see Tua vs Peter or Arreola next. Power vs power. Either one of these 2 would be explosive. Chambers or Kevin Johnson, as someone has suggested as next opponents, are very bad stylistically for Tua.

In his whole career, Tua has only lost 2 fights decisively : to Lewis and to Byrd. He has to stay away from tall fighters fighting outside with a good jab (best example now is Wlad) just as he has to stay away from fast and slick boxers. Maybe Tua would beat Chambers, but that's definitely not a fight I would want if I were his matchmaker. He would probably beat Kingpin because the dude doesn't fight back, but he wouldn't look good doing it.

      LOL at the brain damage
Wlad wins, but Tua has been in there with much more dangerous punchers, and his chin is one of the best...

JAJAJAJA, he is only human. He can't keep taking abuse to the head like that. He is lucky that the Lennox Lewis pounding on his head didn't affect his career since I think he is still good enough to fight the top heavyweights not named Klitschko. He can fight them and get that nice pay-check I just don't see him or anyone else beating them. And anyone who fights a Klitschko definitely has a good chance at having some form of brain-damage afterwards. Sure tests won't pick it up by years later with bad memory and so on it will be obvious especially slurring of the speech.

Not a long time ago at all. Tyson was already fighting men much taller than himself. Your comment sucks.

Your comment sucks because he is a natural heavyweight and you think because he is 5'10 that he is not. If Tua moved to Cruiserweight he'd loose his thigh muscles and look like a god damn crackhead. Tua is a natural heavyweight. He spent most of his career at heavyweight. He did good at heavyweight too.

You know who isn't a natural Heavyweight? David Haye, that is why his opponents are hand-pick at heavyweight and that is why it was a smart move to take on Valuev because now he is fighting Ruiz who honestly is not a threat at heavyweight.

That’s smaller than most super middle weights, imo he should try and pop down to cruiser and clean them out
aleast he would have some belts once and for all
RIDICULOUS COMMENT. Tua can't even get down to 225 lbs, and he should get down to cruiserweight ? Tua has been a heavyweight his whole ****ing career, and he's had some tremendous success and wins, and few losses. Height can always be a problem, but obviously, Tua fights using his limited height as an advantage, and his stalking and inside style make him a dangerous opponent for virtually anybody who has ever fought. Tua reminds me of Frazier in fact, but he has a better defense.

Not really. He fought a lot of taller opponents.

Tua isn't getting any younger and I doubt any new trainer can work out the wrinkles in his technique but maybe he can get more fit and in better shape to be a little lighter on his feet.

Look I agree with what your saying, Tua has fought at heavyweight and has done very well in fact, but Tua has come in weighing about 197 to 200 quite a few times now.

and the crusier weight has been moved up to 200lbs now and im sure he could make that in 2005 he weighed 207 and fought Talmadge Griffis without looking like a crack head.

just look at Herbie Hide he was at heavy and now has gone down to cruiser and he is 6.2
