Yeah lol well he dont jack **** about boxing, he would probably order it even if he didnt get his money for it, but if someone shows and theres only 4 or 5 people there and everyone has tossed in 5, than hes gonna expect 5 bucks lol... He dont ask for any more than that. But yeah Im going to go there for sure because I know some real sexy women that are gonna be there and one asked me if I was going to be there and regardless of how ****ty the fight is I will be there because i need to hit it lol... But I look forward to it atleast being someone entertaining, and I expect A SLUGFEST for the first 3 rounds, unless someone gets caught before that... after 3 rounds I think Hopkins can play with Roy and drop him any time he feels... Glad I wont be paying 5 dollars hahaComment

Hopkins should have just taken the Bute fight. They could have sold 30k seats at Olympic Stadium in Montreal and have a nice guarantee from HBO.
Hopkins must of thought that he could really convince people to buy this, it doesn't even seem like the rest of Golden boy is convinced. Very poor job at promoting it even if it is a farce, they should have done way more interviews and promotion...that's the only fun part of this fight.
Also read in a recent article by Thomas Hauser that Jones (who's square ring is the co-promoter) might end up losing money.Comment

UN-SELL OUT?
Word is that there are a lot (and by a lot, just about every single one) of tickets are available for Bernard Hopkins-Roy Jones II. With a lot of boxing going on this weekend in Las Vegas, from a “ShoBox” telecast at the Hard Rock Hotel being staged by Golden Boy to a card at the Rio Hotel being put on by TKO Boxing Promotions, Hopkins-Jones II could be the most high-profile walk-out bout in the history of boxing. http://www.maxboxing.com/news/main-l...-snake-returnsComment

This whole fight is a disgrace to the sport. Two guys that think they are still entitled to big pay days, when truly no one really cares to watch them fight. People still care to see Hopkins when he fights a good fighter, but against a fighter like Jones, forget about it. What is worse is this fight is thrown on PPV at a very high price tag. This fight will do about 100,000 buys. Both fighters should be ashamed of what they have done by not having this bout 10+ years ago, now no one cares. Karmas a ***** and they are getting what they deserve. Honestly, I'm more mad at Hopkins than I am at Jones because we all know Jones can't do much anymore. Hopkins is still a top fighter and due to such inactivity when he gets in the ring he should be fighting the very best.Comment
