If Lopez is such a warrior, he'll vacate his belt and won't fight the Vasquez-Marquez winner. But he'll fight them while making up the excuse that they are his mandatory. Watch. And then after that fight is over with he'll call his countryman Wilfredo Gomez out of retirement. I don't think Gomez could make 122 or 126 anymore though could he? Gomez would probably fight Caballero before Juan Ma would even now though.

What I don't understand is, how can you offer a 150K payday to a more proven guy in the division and at the same time demand over a $ million. It doesn't go together. If you are offering peanuts to one guy that is more proven to you, you don't demand a steak while he gets the peanuts. Cab has always had that ***** shook.

I'll take it with a grain of salt, but even if it's true, you only give those types of take it or leave it deals when you don't really want that fight.

I could give you dozens of examples of fighters making those types of offers to a fighter that they don't really want and if they do want it, they basically want to **** the other. Hopkins made one of these offers to Adamek not too long ago.

I strongly doubt that if Arum went to Lopez and was like you will be fighting for 250K against Caballero Lopez would turn it down.

I'm sorry but these dudes are professional fighters. They aren't "scared".
All in a days work for Arum. The geezer is old, but he isn't senile yet. Do you think it's a coincidence Pavlik-Abraham didn't happen? HBO wanted it, they probably would've given up a couple million for that fight. Then another million or 2 from the German network Sauerland/Abraham is signed to.

When these guys really want a fight negotiations go smoothly and the fight gets made. The only way **** isn't made is if there is a major hurdle. That Mayweather-Pacquiao **** was a dog and pony show btw. 2 months isn't enough to promote a fight of that magnitude or enough time to prepare for the most difficult opponent of their career.

Lopez will be back on HBO pretty soon just like Cotto after Quintana.

I also dont believe the offer, I dont think Arum made any offer to the Caba camp, Arum would rather put his own fighters together than feed them to other rival.
