"But Showtime is interested in him as well, and all our fighters are free agents in that way. The problem has been solved in Puerto Rico as far as the high-definition trucks; they have one now and so we’re going to have a doubleheader in Puerto Rico. They’re working on the second fight; it’ll be a good fight and we have a lot of fighters and we want to get them as much exposure as possible and we want to do as few pay-per-views as we can." http://www.maxboxing.com/news/main-l...-snake-returns

Good move HBO. Keep this dude off my favorite network. Keep Lopez's ass on Showtime until he mans up and fights Cab.

So you're saying HBO is pro caballero? You think gambo-caba is more exciting that this lopez-concepcion fight?

Yeah Gamboa is very exciting for the lower weight division, HBO don't play that padding records BS with the featherweight division. Win or Lose Gamboa's fight with Cabalerro will be an action packed fight while it last!!

I can't believe they made that fight 2. Maybe it was because of the bad scoring anyway it got Paulie antother big pay day and I hope the man is smart with his money.

that's why other promoters haven't been able to put fights on hbo.

Am sure there is a reason why HBO did that, Maybe they dont have to pay GBP too much monies like Top rank would have want for crap fights, But i dont support HBO giving any promoter any dates, They should accept and reject fights on a sole basis.

That isnt a bad decision, The rematch was one of the most talked about fight for 2009 after what happen in the first fight and the first fight was a good match up.

HBO seems to want only big fights, which is fine but the only thing is they are refusing to get guys that they can build around for future fights. They rarely have great undercards of fighters that are going to be around for a long time. Other than Alexander I can't think of a guy that they have that they plan on building around. Boxing is going to end up on SHO for now on due to HBOs shrinking budget.
