Abner Mares or Yonny Perez Who you got?

Abner is taking a week off after his last win. He will resume training by next week. Of course, I'm going with Abner Mares on May 22nd with Yonnhy Perez. But, I know this fight is going to be tough. We knew that before we accepted the fight.

Yonnhy is a well tested champion and keeps coming.

Not sure if some of you know, but Abner and Yonnhy know each other quite well. They fought three times in the amateurs. Abner won 2-1. and they have sparred against each other. And in fact, are good friends. But this is business on May 22nd.

We have a good game plan and will get some good sparring for Abner. But this is a good opportunity for Abner!

What do you guys think? Who do you have? I'm going to assume Abner Mares is the under dog.

Its a 60/40 fight for me in favor of Perez.

I like Abner's classic Nacho punching technique a lot, but after what Yohnny showed me in the Agbeko fight, I think the dude is superhuman.

If he shows up in that kinda shape again, it will be a long night for Abner.

    I got my Izzy/Rafa 4 tickets too.

I have to go with Perez Frankie, I like Mares but as a pro I think Perez is just on a another level right now. He has impressed me a lot with his fights against Mabuza and Agbeko. I just don't think Mares has fought the level of comp that Perez is in. I don't think he is ready for Perez.

Have to favor Perez but I've been watching Mares since the 04 Olympics, hopefully he gets the strap on the 22nd.

Perez is more accomplished as a pro so he's the favorite to win but I think Abner's got the skills to get the W

lol jeesh, you think Mares can win a round?

I think Mares is the underdog. As he should be. But shouldn't be over looked.

Perez is definitely the favorite but Abner is no slouch. He also keeps coming and I think has better fundamentals than Perez.

It's going to be interesting, Perez reach and height advantage will play a part so it's up to Abner to get inside and work the body of Perez. Abner is an excellent inside fighter and has great defense from the inside.

                    Can't wait for this fight.
