in alot of ways this fight resembles mayweather/pac

one incredibly slick, future p4p boxer and legend vs. a guy who can punch hard, but has weak boxing skills.


devon will clown maidiana, just like mayweather would clown pac
and last week we saw the same result happen with dirrel and abraham. the 1 dimensional boxer got his **** boxed off.


boxing has no room for these 1 dimensional brawlers and as time goes on, they will all get weeded out (as long as they dont duck or take roids, like pacquaio)

alexander has belts. he cant become khan's mandatory unless he drops all his belts prior to beating maidana.

People are giving Alexander too much credit for this Urango fight, Urango was a perfect style made for Alexander, everybody talks about the impressive uppercut which was impressive, but it was there for him all fight. Urango being one dimensional who is horrible at cutting off the ring was able to land very often on Alexander, which i thought Alexander was taking alot of unecessary shots, his defense is very questionable.. Now if he plans on taking on Maidana or Bradley in the future he gonna haveto work on that defense quickly cause its gonna cost him...

I mean, if Urango was so bad, how come no one KO'd him
until Alexander? Sure Urango got off but the end result
was Urango getting stopped. Maidana was getting nailed
by Ortiz until Ortiz tried to let his nuts hang and start slugging
instead of boxing. Bradley got dropped by Holt. Any one
no matter how good they are in the ring can get caught
at anytime. There's always room for improvement but if
Urango was so 1 dimensional easy to figure out, he would have
been stopped already. Andre Berto, who people think is so
fast and talented couldn't even get Urango out of there.

if he doesnt fight anyone of note after malignaggi, i'll just choose to treat him as a sideshow and just ignore him. he'll be just another protected euro champ, who happens to be fighting in the US

not a very good comparison. maidana has average speed and pac is a better boxer than you give him credit.

TRUE. Ahmir Kahn is all hype to me. He is a protected fighter like

roach said they want maidana next for khan, but i dont even see that happening... ortiz/campbell are fighting on the khan/malignaggi undercard i have a feeling they are gona pit khan with the winner of that aka ortiz, and if maidan beats alexander (which i dont see happening) then maybe go after maidana... but i would rather see a fighter like khan work his way up the division before fighting the likes of alexander or bradley... to me the fights become more fun that way wen a boxer has a nice track record.

because khan has been protected we really arent aware of what skill he has if any. beating malignaggi proves nothing, but beating ortiz or campbell shows us he has some skill, then if he can beat maidana i'll know for sure that khan/alexander is gona be an insane fight. if he was fighting alexander in his debut i think it would lack the necessary hype, and i wouldnt care as much i would just write him off as someone who hasnt proven himself
