Comments Thread For: Golovkin vs Mundine in Play?; Helenius Injures Hand

Robert Helenius, # 12 in the latest WBA ratings, was well in control against Gbenga Oloukun Friday night in Helsinki when he injured his right hand. He won the fight but now needs surgery and will be out for at least two to three months. This kills a planned fight May 1 in Oldenburg and also a planned showdown against former WBA heavy champ Nikolay Valuev that Sauerland Event had set for Helsinki in June. Helenius, now 12-0, have been moved fast but have developed well. [Click Here To Read More]

Well, this is how "great" promoters work:

They turn down a 2,5 million dollars payday for Valuev against Klitschko.

Then they offer Valuev peanuts (rumours talk about 30.000 Euro) for fighting Robert Helenius in Finland.

Are you proud of yourselves, Don King and Wilfried Sauerland?

It may be lucky for Valuev that Helenius injured his hand, because now Valuev may still have his option for a fight against the winner og Haye vs. Ruiz exercised by his promoters.
