When Floyd saw me at the Fontainebleau in Miami , because I got a condo down there, the first thing he said to me “yo man you got to see my house!” Now I’m looking at this dude at like 2 in the morning, this young boy, saying first of all what do I care? Tell me about you r family, your daughter, your pops, but he wants to tell me I got to see his house like I’m a b***h! I ain’t one of your bitches, man. What are you talking about?! And lo and behold, I watch the 24/7 from the last fight, you seen it and I seen it, him sitting up there with Puffy showing it off. I’m not into that.
damn...straight up!Comment

Bernard talks about anything & everything, have you ever hear the man talk before? He'll talk for hours straight!Yea but it is a public venue that is not someplace people go for sage like advice. He is hyping up his fight through having an opinion on Floyd. Floyd is a way bigger star than B-Hop so B-Hop talking about him in this way is a way to sell his fight.
B-Hop will do anything to sell a fight and to me that is what this monologue falls under even though what he said is basically correct.
If B-Hop said it on Opera maybe I would feel different about it.
This thread was just a fraction of the entire interview, it only quotes bernard in regards to one question. The entire interview is mostly about roy jones and the actual fight.
You're acting like hopkins went to this hiphop site, and started talking **** about floyd. Nah he was talking about his upcoming fight with roy, they asked him about his beef with floyd & he spoke the truth about it. That's bernard, he doesn't hold anything back in his interviews, that's why writers love him.Comment

I agree with some of what Hopkins had to say here. However, what does it really matter what another man does with his money? Hopkins talks alot about being business savvy but he is 45 years old and still boxing, so it could just as easily be said that Hopkins needs money just as he says Mayweather does. All in all, it is kind of hard to take his comments as helpful advice for Mayweather; it seems as though there is a bit of animosity coming from Hopkins. Also, Hopkins thinks Mayweather is ignorant and brash but who was the one who said "I'll never lose to a white boy"?Comment

Of course you can mate!
Coz Floyd gives 2 ****s about everything on everyone as well. Pacquiao's Nike endorsements, womanizing, singing, Shane Mosley's personal life, Cotto lives very far
, a lot i can barely remember.
How he's blabbing his mouth on what other peeps shove up their arse is somewhat applied to him too you know?
Yup it's fair enough like you said doesn't make it right or wrong, just how PEOPLE back up their gaping mouths. And it's also been said IT'S FOR CAMERA but heck who will know?Comment

Hopkins, you are not a thug. You live in a sky-rise apartment and can afford anything you want in life. 100% of Boxing Scene lives a tougher life than you.Comment
