Scientific Tests On Boxers Punching Power?

There is always talk about which boxers punched the hardest, which boxers had overrated power, or underrated power, i think the only way to prove how hard a boxer really did hit would be to line them all up on one of these scienctific tests, and see the rusults.

Does anybody know if any of these tests have been done before? i think Frank Bruno did it one time, but thats the only fighter i can think of.

If I recall, Rocky Marciano punched a machine that was designed to measure how much power was in the punch. Something over 1,000psi. Others had to have tried it because I remember them saying it was the hardest puch ever recorded.

Well, I thought that at the tests were done by the US Army using some kind of force pendulum thing that's supposed to be quite accurate?

I heard Marciano punched through seven panes of plate glass. I don't care what you think, plate glass is HARD to break.

A test that focuses solely on punching power may not translate to how well the boxer punches in the ring. There are so many other factors besides raw power..

I doubt marciano hits that hard. He definately hits hard but not 1000 psi.
