Yeah you can tell he was a bit slower than usual. A bit more flat-footed and his face looked drained by the end.

Bad night's rest. That's my guess.

No serious consequences this time around.

Everybody has a few bad nights. I was hard on him when I first saw the fight, but after watching it again, I felt Gamboa still looked real amazing.

Also, Barros was a solid fighter that night. Would have given anybody at 126/130 trouble.

That was not the usual Gamboa, but still, made Barros hit air for rounds 1-7.

I believe he is 100% but possibly not motivated. He just got careless and was counterpunched many times. I've posted a thread asking also inputs about Barros. No love as well. Lolz. You tube did provide glimpse of a good fighter. Good counterpunching, very good handspeed as well.

oh yeah it was boring, which isn't typical of gamboa fights.

But just analyzing Gamboa and what he was doing, I thought he was very technically sound. And everyone complains about how gamboa is too wild, doesn't keep his hands up, etc. Well for the first 8 rounds he fought textbook boxing there.

I honestly think Gamboa is the best raw talent in boxing today. Excels in all categories/intangibles (even chin if you think about it). He'll be great. He's still under 20 pro fights.

I didn't see it Natas, but based on your description it sounds like the Gamboa I expect.

He is Roy Jones lite as far as I'm concerned.

Good reflexes and instinct, but low ring I.Q.

If he runs into top opponents that he can't faze w/ his natural gifts, he will be discouraged and stopped.

The same way Mike Tyson's aura was shattered by Douglas.

I'd give you green for your tesla name/sig but I'm out of karma. Tesla >>>> Edison

Nah, that's not it. He showed very good technical skills until the end of the fight when he was fatigued. He fought very smart and imo showed high ring IQ, again for the first 8 rounds. Even though he was boring I was impressed at the time with his patience and recognizing when his opponent was trying to set traps, etc.

Gamboa will be fine. He was obviously tired.

Even from round 1 you can tell he was a bit off energy-wise.

Edison is a bum. He stole everything from Tesla.

If Tesla had any business sense, Edison would never even be in the discussion.

Tesla's idealism left him wide open to be exploited by Edison's greed and opportunism.

                      Classic case.
