Just saw the fight first of all lawrence cole made 2 big mistakes in not awarding a kd for Dirrell in the 8 Dirrell hit Abraham who then proceeded to fall into the robes which should be ruled a kd.Abraham then went onto kock Dirrell down Cole ruled a trip which i felt was wrong the punch did the damage not the tangling of ther feet.I gave Abraham rounds 3 and 10 the rest clear Dirrell rounds.AS for round 11 for Arthur Abraham to say he didnt realise that Dirrell was on the ground is ridiculous Dirrell slipped to the ground Abraham then ****ed back his arm and punched this all after Dirrell was still on the ground there was no acting involved he caught Dirrell flush but in defence of Abraham i think it was a heat of the moment sort of thing cuz he comes across as a likeable guy and he is still a great fighter i will shout for him against Froch. This was a great result as it throws the tournament wide open again after it seemed to be losing its appeal
My take on Dirrell Abraham

Dirrells face expression spoke for itself he was fine..did the punch hurt him? Maybe..Did the punch turn his lights off that he wasn't able to continue? No way just look at his face when he went down.Abrahams punch was messed up but I knew from the start they would try to screw him over..that fight should of never happen under those circumstances...first the venue change then the judges..it's like going for a swim and trying not to get wet..Abraham was the aftermath of the froch/dirrell fight. -
Everyone and their mother knows he faked it, that was all acting. I am not condoning AA action by this and I don't care he got DQ, he did hit him while he was down but the whole thespian act of Dirrell was a ***** ass move "I need to breath ya'll!!!" that guy is a moron, he's worse than Kermit Cintron.Comment

I thought Dirrell's supposed second KD was the right call - it was more of a push than a punch.
Abraham's KD should have counted even though it didn't seem to particularly hurt Dirrell.
And yeah, it was definitely a DQ and Dirrell was not acting.Last edited by S.G.; 03-29-2010, 09:32 AM.Comment

A post with some sense. I agree.Comment

Bro I'm not against the DQ, AA was desperate, but Dirrell sold that **** perfectly, that was the best acting in boxing ever.Comment

I have to say that it really looks like he was acting. That punch did not look hard enough to do that much damage.
Then again, a grazing shot from Wladimir knocked Chambers out cold and sent him to the hospital.. So.. I don't know, it's weird.Comment

Shouldn't we finally get over it?
Why do most posters here blemish both guys - one side saying that AA is a ****** a**hole from europe who doesn't know how to fight and whine all the time - and the other side being screaming about coward moves from Dirrell...
This fight is OVER - Abraham lost by DQ and Dirrell won 2 points...now it's Abraham's turn to raze out some wholes in his gameplan and both need to be ready for their respective next bouts...
And there's still a chance that both will met each other in the semis (it ain't over till it's over).
Only thing I want to say about the whole officiating mess that is the Super Six is that there was still no fight in this tourney which was handled properly by a referee...Comment

Instead of great, ultra-realistic acting (coming from a boxer of all people), could it not just have been a genuine reaction?
Delayed reactions are not uncommon in boxing when you catch a brain rattling blow like that straight on the jaw, and the way he went down and started twitching doesn't seem like something someone would do if they were acting? Surely they would go for the safer and easier to pull off route of just laying there motionless? And then his interview and reaction when he got up? You could see him squinting because of the light and he clearly didn't know what the hell was going on.
I think people have just already got a bad perception of Dirrell from the Froch fight and these acting accusations wouldn't be an issue if he hadn't pissed people off that night.Comment
