Ideally I'd like most fights to have a certain monetary bonus for the winner.

Both fighters are doing exactly the same job and should get paid the same.

There are two jobs in boxing:
1. Being a good fighter.
2. Being popular enough for people to pay money to see you fight. Floyd Mayweather Jr. has learned this, and has made himself quite a fanbase. He has done very well to be so popular too, especially since he doesn't fight like James Kirkland, which is what the common fan likes.

Why would you want to rob us of the gems in the sport like Taylor-Spinks, where one guy is just there for the payday?

indeed it is highly unlikely for something like that to happen especially on a mega-fight scale. though, again, it would be epic to have at least once in our lifetime.

i am also in favor with this just to add some ****e to the bout. i recall though that clottey got some kind of bonus from jones even though he lost to pac, just the opposite
