Joan Guzman should fight IBF 147lb titlist Jan Zaveck

I must say Guzman fights pretty well as a WW, he packs a more solid shot and takes them better too.

He should fight IBF WW champ Jan Zaveck if he can't make LW or even SLW.

What has he done to earn a shot? Well he clearly beat Funeka last night which is a better win than Zaveck has on his resume and more than I think Jan could do.

Its a win win for Guzman a talented fighter who likes to eat and so now he can fight, do both, and win a title in his 3rd division.

What do you think, can he beat Zaveck?

I think he does and very easily too.

It helped but LW Funeka would kill Zaveck!

Jan Zaveck is a paper champion. It amazes me people like him can get belts in such a competitive division. It'd be a good move for Guzman. It'd be interesting to see this fight happen.

Its an easy win, Guzman is too quick too much of a mover.

He would be able to land that looping right hand at will and just dip out of the way even easier than at lower weights because Zaveck isn't even a good WW most of whom would be much slower than guys at LW and SFW anyway where Guzman was fighting.

Guzman is more notable than anyone Zaveck had ever fought but there is a good chance he would lose to a guy who had never had a WW fight before.....so he can just fight the mandoz and make less or Joan and make a little more if HBO would pick it up.
