    Erik Morales Wins Over Alfaro, Calls on Pacquiao for 4th Fight!

    Former three-division champion Erik Morales wins over former lightweight champion Jose Alfaro Saturday night in Monterrey, Mexico and moved closer to his wish to fight Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao for the fourth time.
    Monterrey, Mexico - Popular Mexican boxer Erik Morales hurdled his first assignment after retirement from professional boxing almost three years ago.
    Morales defeated former lightweight champion Jose Alfaro in a 12-round unanimous decision in Monterrey, Mexico Saturday night.
    In a brutal encounter for the vacant WBC Intercontinental title in Monterrey, Mexico, Morales earned a 116-112 from two judges while the other scored it 117-111.
    Morales return as a welterweight is significant as he aims for a 4rth bout with Pacquiao who is now fighting in the welterweight division
    Earlier Morales said he wants another shot at Manny Pacquiao. It would be their fourth encounter in the ring if Pacquiao gives in to his wishes.
    During their first encounter in 2005, Morales defeated Pacquiao via a 12-round unanimous decision.
    On January 22, 2006, Morales fought Pacquiao in a rematch from their bout ten months before, and was defeated in ten rounds. Pacquiao knocked down Morales twice in the final seconds of round ten and the fight was stopped.
    He fought Pacquiao for the third time in a non-championship title bout, on November 18, 2006. Morales was defeated by a knockout in three rounds.
