i dont have to. Dirrell was NEVER in trouble. In round 11 the only punch AA landed was the sucker hit. Last i checked Dirrell scored the only legit kd and had AA in trouble until the bell rang. Your boy got a boxing lesson....no need to make **** up and say Dirrell was hurtComment

he also hit aa so hard he fell against the ropes that should have been ruled a knock down as he would have fell if not saved by the ropes. as for survival mode he was wwwayyyyyyyyyyy ahead on the cards and was cruising to the ud when he slipped in aa corner for the second time due to all the h2o they sloshed around in that corner. he was in no danger he looked much stronger than aa and when aa had him pinned in the corner he skillfully slipped ALL of aas punches. he hurt aa plenty of times there was no slow start, he couldnt get the time or space to get his punches off. dre kept him where he wanted him. and beat him down. aa got desperate and got out the only way he could by dqTotal ignorance.
Jermaine Taylor was schooling Froch until round 12.
Dirrell had been knocked down in round 10, bizarrely waved off as a slip. Why would you think there was no chance he would get hit and go down again?
His punch rate had dropped, he was entering survival mode, and was in danger.
Still, totally agree with the DQ although not quite the 'heinous' bit. I don't think it was as intentional as people make out. Look at RJJ and his DQ, or Haye against Barrett, it happens. These guys are in a fight. Sometimes that split second and the urge to punch get between the rational though process and the fist flies instinctively at the target.Comment

Dirrell was winning the fight clearly, but the wheels were starting to come off. When Dirrell is in trouble, the man has massive balance issues.Comment

Some people like to live off of hopes and prayers I guess...dirrell got caught with a few shots so that means he was about to be KO'ed? he could have been knocked down once in that round and once in the 12th and still won...dirrell was mounting for a defensive coast till the end...he was effectively avoiding mixing up with AA till he slipped...that's why AA swung when he did...how is all of that erased and in place with dirrell gassed and on his last leg like a wounded gimp and was about to be put down? I have no clue...Comment

I am a big fan of Abraham and a bigger fan of Dirrell but I must say that it looks pretty ****** when AA and his promoters call Dirrell a good actor. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE PUNCH KNOCKED HIM OUT OR NOT, HITTING A FIGHTER WHO IS DOWN IS AN AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION!!!!Comment

For arguments sake, if Dirrell faked it which I don't believe that he did, then what Abraham did is still dangerous and he was right to be DQ'd. Having said that, Dirrell was fading fast and beginning to have issues with his balance. He appeared to me to be in deep, as Abraham was starting to get in and land solid shots and also appeared to me as if Dirrell wanted to run out the clock.Last edited by switchsouthpaw; 03-28-2010, 09:00 PM.Comment

yo man good post i agree with this post 100%It's boxing not MMA, If all you guys want to see is knockouts go watch gay ass MMA. It's ****** though I mean Dirrell put on a clinic and people still think Arthur was gonna knock him out. Arthur boxed horribly last night, He was just depending on his power other than his skills, That's the reason he was inferior to Andre last night. People shut the **** up about this whole 12th round knockout thing, Andre still outboxed him the whole night.Comment

I did honey bunny. I also watched the rest of the rounds of the fight and Dirrell made Arthur look confused and frustrated. I like Arthur but he is seasoned enough as a veteran to know better. He was just frustrated because he couldn't hurt Dirrell with one punch as effectively as he did with Taylor. I picked Dirrell to win because Arthur did not take him seriously enough due to high profile win of a faded and damaged Jermain Taylor. Arthur will absolutely crush Froch in stage 3. I guarantee it!!!Comment
