It's very possible that taylor wins. Hopkins has been looking worse and worse in his recent fights.

Answer me this and think before you post ... is there any doubt in your mind who won the Hopkins-Eastman fight?

Any at all? *punches in martinwbc to my IGNORE list and finger hovers over the "submit" button.*
OH NO!... OH NO!... Please don't put me on you ignore list!!!

There is a big difference between defensive elusive fighting and just plain running!

I know Hopkins won the fight against Eastman, but the way he went about his business didn't make me think of a greatly skilled fighter, It reminded me why I shouldn't waste my money on Bernard Hopkins fights. He had no intention of knocking Eastman out, he wouldn't let himslef get that close. He was scared of tarnishing his drery 20 IBF title defences and came just to survive 12 rounds, pick up his cheque and leave.

I'm paying to watch him fight, It's a portion of my PPV money that'll end up in his pocket and after saying that he'd "Kill Eastman this, and kill Eastman that" on the night he didn't want to fight.

I felt cheated out of £15.00

Hi Sactown. Hopkins started showing these signs several years ago, just like Archie Moore did in his day. The difference between these fighters and other fighters who age more quickly is they have learned so much and understand the game so well they are actually better than in their physical prime. In his physical prime Walcott lost to the likes of Tiger Jack Fox, but past his physical prime he actually beat Louis, although Louis was given the decision, and beat Charles with my all time favorite lights-out left hook. But even Walcott aged eventually.

B-Hop could be sharp, but he will not continue to improve. He has already slipped from the fighter who dominated Trinidad.

B-Hop is the favorite, but no way does Taylor lose 11 out of 12 rounds to ANY fighter on the planet, including heavyweights. He is just too skilled a boxer.

The problem for Hopkins is he no longer has the "Executioner" power he displayed early in his careeer, for whatever reason. So he will have to out-hustle and out-think a slick, young, hungry boxer who doesn't know what defeat really tastes like.

I like Taylor in this fight by a decision. On paper it is an upset, but in reality I don't think it is.

I just wish I could bring myself to like Taylor like I like B-Hop. But I can't.

Martin, after the 8th round he put as bad a beating on Eastman as he's ever had, landing left hook after left hook straight in his face. The truth is that Eastman was taken to the deep water ... and drowned like a sack of kittens. He was worn out and confused and some people call that setting your man up.

Seems like you blaming BHop for not entertaining you is just you having sour g****s cause your boy, Eastman wasn't up to the task and got his ass whooped.

You spent your money. It's your fault you spent it unwisely, not BHop's.

If you weren't entertained by that fight be smart ... don't waste it on Hopkins/Taylor either.

          You'll likely be disappointed again.

Yes he can and the keyword "YOUTH" "hunger". I think Hopkins is nearing the end of the line.

Hahaha, "cheated"? What happened? Somebody charge you to dial up your service and order the damn ppv?

Btw, why do you have Lennox Lewis under a banner about British boxing?

He's Canadian. Or is it Jamaican? Anyway, go ahead and fix that will ya?

Don't want anyone to think you're frontin or nothin. Don't mention it, bro.

Guys ... Taylor is VERY basic ... elementary even. Hopkins will have him figured out before they even enter the ring while Taylor will try to bumrush him for a few rounds, maybe hold his own a bit before realizing he's missing, getting hit and doesn't have a plan B.

If you thought Eastman was lost, baffled and confused ... wait til you see Taylor.

Humbled and humiliated come to mind when considering his prospects.

Hopkins is getting old, not ******.

does a bear **** in the woods? of course he has a chance. anytime someone steps into the ring they have a chance. now if taylor just kinda stands back and waits on b-hop to attack and taylor beats him to the punch then he can win. i mean we are talking about maybe 2-3 punches a round. hopkins is smart but extremely boring to watch.

I couldn't disagree more. First of all, Eastman was a second rate Middleweight. He was stiff as hell, couldn't fight going backwards, weak jab, slow and easily confused (see joppy fight).

Taylor is much more athletic than Eastman, has a much better jab, more power and is not robotic. Also, Taylor knows how to mix his punches up very well and just about every one of his punches has "BAD INTENTIONS" on them.

I can see Hopkins stinking the arena out by sitting back and counterpunching and holding all night long, but if he tries to bring the fight to Taylor he'll get a beating like no other.

Cheated in that I paid for a fight and instead got to see some old guy scared, running in the opposite direction all night.

They told me before that I was paying to watch a fight? I paid the money but I never got to see a fight.

p.s... Lennox Lewis was born and grew up in Brixton, London.
