The main reason Jermain has a chance is because of the EA Sports video game cover jinx.

YES I completely forgot about the Jinx!!!!! It got Culpepper, George, Faulk, Roy Jones, and B-Hop is the next victim.....only Ray Lewis was tough enough to avoid the jinx

If there's one thing I know about Bernard Hopkins, it's that he only takes fights he KNOWS he can win.

Hence the reason he won't fight Calzaghe/Wright.

Hopkins ain't ******, he'll have done his homework on this boy and will drag out a UD.
but then, who goes in the ring sayin o thinkin that HE WONT WIN?

I dunno, but fo me, I believe that Taylor has been workin hard to get a fight wit Bernard. This is what he wants, and it'll be hard fo B-Hop stoppin a fighta that is betta than his recent oppositions.

i believe he does have a chance...although it's going to be quite tough as hopkins is very ring savvy. he clinches and hits at the break, he spins you, holds your neck and hits,...he's got all the neat (and dirty) tricks in the book.

i think the best weapon taylor has is his youth and his jab. the kid has a decent thudding jab and if he gets into a tempo he might steal some rounds from b-hop. jermain just needs to be 'smart' about throwing the jab though as hopkins is notorious for throwing counter lead right hands...

Taylor has a great jab its hard and fast. Also i think the fact that Taylor comes is much stronger and bigger than Hopkins he wont be able to use his usually tactics. I see Hopkins getting ****y and getting hit with a big shot and than Taylor will jump on him. Late Ko for Taylor.

Youth will be served when Taylor steps into the ring to fight Hopkins. I think Taylor represents the next great African American superstar in boxing.

I think he has all the physical tools to handle Hopkins and his power is definitely greater than Hopkins'. I look for Taylor to win a close but clear decision.

Jermain Taylor is a very talented young fighter who is going to be the middleweight champion someday. So does he have a chance to beat Hopkins? Of course he does, probably a better one then most guys who have gotten in there with the Executioner did! But do I think he is going to win? No I don't, I think Hopkins is too crafty and still too skilled even at forty years young.

everyone thinks hopkins fights are so boring.like the guy 2 or 3 posts before this one.and so many other posters.

he entertains me the most, heh. i get a real kick out of the little things, like the look of hopelessness on Eastman's face after nard peppered him with a left jab, then switched over to southpaw and peppered him with a few right jabs, then switched back to conventional with a 'i just pwnd u' smirk, all within a matter of 8-10 seconds.the look on eastmans face was priceless, things like that amuse me more than any knockout ever
