i guess i have to rewatch Andre's reaction and try to understand that he was really hurt. according to Andre it seemed like he thought he was dropped. that could explain the crying. i'm just skeptical about it all. it was very convenient to end the fight that way.
Why didn't anyone in Dirrells corner contol the situation

What so your saying that Dirrell purposely slipped in order for AA to hit him in the face and then he can fake a concussion and get a win by DQ? Come on now.
Watch the punch in normal speed, he flopped to the floor like a second after... he didn't have enough time to think about doing it... stop with the bull**** and admit that AA rightfully got DQ'd.Comment

Just out of interest did anyone else notice that the ref was nearly ALWAYS standing directly behind Abraham. It was like he made a point to position himself behind Abraham every time. This might just be my thought, but a big emphasis was put on the ref and officials used in the fight after Dirrell's camp complained about the Froch decision. If he was positioned behind Abraham how could he possibly penalise Dirrell for a low blow or any foul?? It happened quite a few times, so many times it immediately crossed my mind during the fight. He missed a few low blows and even a legitimate Knock down. How can anyone miss that?? The refs overall performance was dreadful and nobody can deny that. I just hope it wasnt premediated because if it was Dirrell got what he deserved. You are allowed recovery time for a foul. Someone in Dirrell's corner should of took control over the situation, and let Andre take a breather. at the same time someone should of pulled the ref aside and assured Andre would continue and that they would much rather have a point deduction than stop the fight on a DQ. Did they really want to go out like that? Did Andre? i doubt it, but i guess like many of you are saying on here, a win is a win.
i don't care what anyone says. the final moments of this fight were very interesting. the momentum was cleraly swinging into Abrahams favor, and Dirrell looked like he was in a bit of trouble. i think he could have made it through TWO more rounds to become the new champ. i thought his reaction to the foul was a little late, and what followed was just weird.Last edited by jonesy; 03-28-2010, 03:04 PM.Comment

no, the slip was legit. the punch was a dq'able offense and abraham was rightfully dq'd. IMO, dirrell played up the impact of that punch. all that sht after the foul was fake and unnecessary. all he had to do was just lay there and wait to be carried off. What so your saying that Dirrell purposely slipped in order for AA to hit him in the face and then he can fake a concussion and get a win by DQ? Come on now.
