There definitely seems to be a rump of americans that do not in any way like europe and any loss by a "euro" fighter has to be celebrated like we see today. Personally i think this leads to retalitation when americans lose fights but actually i didnt see much or any of this kind of stuff recently when americans have lost but it doesnt take much to the get the americans going again!! thats for sure
I cant see AA having many if any fans outside germany or armenia but i know lots of american fighters have good fan bases in europe so its a real weird one, but im sure the attitude you see from some americans when someone from any part of europe loses a fight puts some "europeans" off american fans at leastComment

Shure but why would for example a British man root for Abraham simply because they both come from the same continent? My point was that most european boxing fans don't give a **** if the fighter is european or not, unless they are from their own home country.Comment

This isn't about hate, as it wasn't even the Yanks who made this a US vs Europe battle. The European promoters called this whole event Boxing's Ryder Cup FFS. Insecure..........Comment

Is 50 pounds a bit of an exaggeration? I thought i was more like 35 maybe?Comment

lol no i dont! thats a false accusation because i like amir khan! lol and paul daley, and the beetles! and i fux with vatali klitchko because hes a goon... but i just recognize that the most dominant fighters in boxing comes from the american continents, mostly mexico and the USComment

This type of thing has been going on well before this tourney though and im sure will be that same long after its ended too........It wasn't the Americans who turned this into us vs them. The Super Six was created as Boxing's Ryder Cup. The European promoters painted this as that. It makes sense considering the majority of the world though they would dominate. When the US had green fighters against heavy former champion favorites.Comment

Yep. The fact is americans are alot more nationalistic than Europeans, an american would never ever root for a non-american fighter. While europeans are more laid back, we don't care so much about nationality, we just want to see good fights. There definitely seems to be a rump of americans that do not in any way like europe and any loss by a "euro" fighter has to be celebrated like we see today. There was provocation before any of the results even came in. During the build up of this fight many Europeans were talking about how inferior the American fighters were in this tournament while claiming easy victory and the down fall of American boxing. Payback can come quickly and swiftly. There definitely seems to be a rump of americans that do not in any way like europe and any loss by a "euro" fighter has to be celebrated like we see today.
