Can't say I've ever been bothered about being labelled "European". I'm probably in the minority living in the UK (although not an insignificant one), but I know this feeling is shared by many on the continent. Whenever I visit France or Spain or Italy (especially in the last five years) I'm struck by the number of people who are perfectly comfortable with the label. Indeed, they appear to enjoy it.

Aside from one trip to Poland (where I did run into a small group of a ******* lunatics - who I'm sure aren't representative of the whole) I don't have much experience of Eastern Europe. So I can't really comment on that part of the world.

    Yours,

    A European living in Britain.

Just enjoy a damn fight, it shouldn't matter what country they are from.
It's you americans who constantly make this thing about nationality.

I can admit that the U.S is alot better than Europe at boxing but it seems that whenever an american whoops a european you have to grind it in our face and go on and on about how all european fighters are over hyped c level bums.... and those rare occasions when a european whoops an american you refuse to give any respect or credit what so ever.

I'm european and I don't care about nationality. I was rooting for Dirrell over Abraham and Ward over Kessler.

The US isn't better than "Europe" at boxing though. The number and ability of fighters is distributed according to the available pool of fighters in each locale.

          Europe's one country.

Just like U.S.A and Canada are.

The problem with your argument, as anyone who reads the posts in NSB can attest, is that all the disparate nationalities that make up Europe suddenly band together thick as thieves whenever a boxer from Europe fights someone from off-continent. Especially if that outsider happens to be an American.

That would be a good point if it was in any way true.

What seems to be the problem. What is wrong with labeling Kessler,Froch and AA European?

Of course it's true. Try reading through the posts in NSB.
