    What should abrahams punishment be?

im a fan of abraham but what he did last night made me sick. he had his nights, when he knocked out kingsley ikeke to become world champion and defended it several times. his very last fight against taylor, scoring a dramatic knockout in the last seconds lifting all of his hometwon fans out of their seats to cheer for him. that night he truly was king.

but last night was dirrells night, abraham shouldve taken his loss like man. dirrell was clearly the better fighter that night, i was on my feet for several rounds in awe of his ability not even realizing i hadnt sat down yet. u can tell he trained his ass of and he fought a brilliant fight, this was his night to stand tall with his arms raised as his hometown fans cheered him on.

instead he ended on his back from a cheap shot thrown by a sore loser, no matter if he gets the W on his record or not he deserved better. laid out in front of his whole family and lots of friend in a fight he won. and thats not even mentioning the physical trauma he went through suffering a brutal KO like that.

abraham did a terrible thing, then again we all make mistakes and we need to keep in mind it was a heat of the moment type of thing. considering the consequenses i still think he should be punished, this is a dangerous sport and dirrell couldve been injured permanently.

i think he should lose the extra point he gained from knocking out taylor. put him at 2 points next to ward, dirrell and froch. thats a fair punishment imo that will send a statement to fighters about sportmanship. thoughts?

    he lost via DQ

    that is his punishment....

you can say "suspension" but it shouldnt be more than 6 months, and it'll be that long til he fights again anyway...

its done, its over... Dirrell is OK and AA learned his lesson... if it were a fighter who had 6 losses already then i wouldnt necessarily say its OK that he just gets the loss, but this is an undefeated former world champion... his 0 is a HUGE deal to him... well, it WAS

Punishment? A rematach with Dirrell. Should be like RJJ - Griffin 2. And keep it with a neutral ref too. No judges is gonna be needed.

He was losing anyway so the DQ isn't much. He should lose his pay day for that fight and get a 2 point deduction.

I don't think people acknowledge the severity of what he did. There's a reason why that **** is banned in the ring, you can kill your opponent.

I just watched it, heat of the moment. I dont think it was intentional, it was really quick. Abraham was just aiming for his face and dirrel happened to slip. AA's hands were just following wherever dirrels face was going to be.

Just like how alot of boxers ending up hitting AA's groin, their punches are guarded into it, not intentional.

Depends on Dirrell. If Dirrell is seriously hurt, Abraham should face possible expulsion from the tournament. Although, at this point that would be pointless, so I don't know. There has to be someway to punish him without ruining the tournament, but I can't think of anything severe enough.

Nobody knows if Dirrel is ok....People thought Michael Watson was ok...he deserves to be stripped of all his points

tyson got further punishment for biting holyfields ear, what abraham did was far more dangerous. u cant suspend him cuz that would be taking him out of the super six which is to harsh, but i think some sort of fine or points deduction like previously mentioned is called for.
