Guzman is a ****ing cheater. He got his ass handed to him the first time he fought Funeka. He came in way over weight to make sure he could take Funekas punches. The fraud doesn't deserve a title shot or even a shot at an interim belt.:****you:

Does any1 remember when Kellerman was giving his usual commentary during the fight & said "Guzman is looking at Funeka like he hits like a Lightweight". Then Papa said "That's because he's a Welterweight".

would be a good fight. i personally think he should fight nate campbell.. but maidana is a way bigger name and he would get more credit. im not sure who id pick in that fight just yet.. if it gets done and signed nd fighters r in training then il make a prediction.

Trust me, Guzman will win easily, Maidana ain't **** but a hard puncher. On the inside Guzman will rip him apart/ outbox him on the outside.

i read here yesterday someone wrote that they both still weighed about the same on fight night, thats not the point though, the point is funeka "sacrificed" himself to get down to 135,guzman didn't,at all, meaning he probably had more strength from not having to go all the way down, didn't come in weak if he probably was from having to make weight, this is wrong and it makes it look like any fighter can do what he did,not sacrifice himself and just hope the opponent agrees to getting extra money...fighters should be forced to make weight or move up in weight if lightweight is hard to make...he's lazy and unprofessional

You serious? He got beat up by funeka on the 1st fight and got an unfair advantage and still only managed as SD last night. Now you telling me he'll rip the biggest puncher at 140?? come on man. If he doesn't cheat the scales again he'll get KTFO by Maidana guarantee. he'd not be able to survive maidanas pressure.

Maidana ain't all that, dude is overhyped. By the way, Funeka only won the 3rd round.

did you read when I said what guzman did was f-ed up?

I'm not condoning guzman's actions, he was wrong.

Looking past that though, I thought he fought very well against Funeka and staying on topic, I think he would out-box Maidina if they were too fight. I've said long before Maidana is overrated like crazy on this site, he's a big puncher, yes but against a pure boxer with speed he's going to look ordinary real quick.

Should guzman be given a chance? I wouldn't blame anyone if he's denied future opportunities because of his actions.

This would be a great test for Maidana.
