Another fighter Joe Cortes screws over not only did maidana hit him after the bell but he hit him on the back of the head Im surprised nobody is even mentioning that up.

The only guy who can beat maidana is ortiz in a rematch. Ortiz could of had made it an easy fight but the dumbass choose to brawl with the guy instead of sticking to his boxing and he should of let the ko come instead of going for it. Maidana had been dropped by ortiz 3 times the accumulated damage would of forced maidana to either not get up from another knockdown or for the team to throw in the towel.

Dumbass ortiz had the fight in the bag but he gave maidana a chance by fighting maidanas fights instead of his. I remember dlh yelling to ortiz use your head after the first knockdown meaning box not brawl. I just don't get why young guys with talent can't listen to their trainers just like cayo couldn't understand to keep his ****ing hands up.

Anyways **** Joe Cortez I hate that son of a ***** I don't understand why he keeps getting championship fights all the time and ****ing up so much.
I really don't agree with this post.I felt cayo try to do what he could but was getting bullyed. As far as Ortiz go's I'm hoping he win's against campbell but he should stay away from Maidana.

i scored it 116/112 Guzman. Funeka let Guzman take some rounds back from him. It was frustrating watching him let Guzman do just enough to win the round. But I think the weight was more of an issue than skill.

Whut up Rome? On the contrary my good man; I think Victor is just the one to beat Maidana. He just has to get the heart up to match his skills and power. The main thing that separates them two is determination IMHO.

Second, he fights more control, and technicall with fighters that are dangerous. He Felt Cayo was feather fisted, so he bum rush his ass
Champ, I wouldn't say that Cayo was feather fisted at all. Cayo ripped some shots that made Maidana stop in his tracks and reset potna. Maidana's determination to stick to the game plan and get Cayo out of his is what gave Marcos the openngs that he needed(as well as Cayo making a few amaturish mistakes).

Agreed but now I also believe there will be something mental there to being the fact that he was stop by this man.Ortiz should only fight this man agian if he has too.

Yeah. I wanna see that one too. Maidana was brought up as a possible opponent for Devon, so I dont think that Devon will be the least bit hesitant about meeting Marcos. Devon seems to be really hell bent on taking it to the JWW division, and if he takes Maidana out like he took JU out, I would put him side by side Timmy at the top of the 140 foodchain.

Same what I was thinking too Maidana has unbelievable power but thats it. His boxing skills aren't that great and his chin isn't either. If he would of had a strong chin than he could go very far in his professional career but somehow bradley, alexander and maybe ortiz in a rematch will end his career. I mean this is the guy that was dropped 3 times by ortiz and he really felt cayos power even though hes not a hard puncher he has decent power. I think it was around the 2 round or 4 where at the end of the round maidana shook his head a sign that showed that he felt his power.

Also maidana when he is feeling the punches he goes to dirty tactics. Examples hit behind the head as he did in one of the rounds where cortez warned him also when he clearly unload his punch after the bell had rung and then again i think it was in the 4th round where he unload his punch after the bell but that time cortes was there where he got in the middle of both boxers.

All Im saying is maidana in every fight he has a punchers chance but thats against mediocore boxers or prospects who don't have enough experience yet such as cayo and ortiz but against champs like alexander or bradley is another different story not to mention alexander and bradley have pretty good chins. Maidana vs khan is a hell of fight for both fighters to test khans glass jaw once again and to see how maidana fights against boxers with good boxing skills along with punching power. last time he did that he got dropped by ortiz 3 times and won because of ortiz amateur mistake of fighting the wrong fight maybe khan can learn something form ortiz tapes.

if maidana uses his jab and makes it his main weapon, he can clean out the division, because he has the heart, work ethic, and chin, to go along with his natural power. i really like the torque he puts on his punches, using his hips, true natural power, it's a thing of beauty.

but the thing i was impressed with the most, was cayo. kid has some serious potential, he just wasn't ready for this kind of step up. and although a ko loss, it was a bodyshot and not knocked cold. he has all the tools, just needs the polishing and more world experience, i think he learns from this and becomes a world class player, hbo will have him back, he's quality.

i think their fight was the best fight of the night, out of all the boxing that was on and mma, i just happened happened to catch ufc last night.
