Not just because I'm an Amir Khan fan, but Maidana didn't look too great in that fight. Khan is better than Cayo is every department (except the chin), and Cayo was giving Maidana problems, and even thoroughly outboxing him at points. A more experienced Cayo, with a better defence and better conditioning would probably beat Maidana.

I hope Khan faces Maidana after Mallignaggi, because it's a very winnable fight.

Amir Khan has to run all night if he wants to win against Maidana. Khan would only take 5% of what Cayo took from Maidana and get knocked out. His chin is highly untested. Maidana's body shot came out of nowhere and knocked the wind outta Cayo.

bro, i hate to disagree wihyou but cayo is a more awkward and more defensive fighter than khan is and that did'nt help him......maidana is bad news for khan..............i fact i give amir a better chance of beating alexander and bradley thatn himbeating maidana,el chino could punch that would put anyone to sleep at 140..........

LOL! They don't need any more excuses though, they've already paid Maidana off to not enforce his mandatory for three fights, and now they're trying to get Alexander to do Khan's dirty work for him. It's disgusting and anyone who still calls themselves a Khan fan is not a true boxing fan.

Great performance by Maidana though - he's seriously under-rated by a lot of people. He's not nearly as limited as people pretend - he's a serious pressure fighter with a huge punch and an ability to adjust his game plan intelligently to the fighter in front of him.

People Needs to understand that first, Maidana is a brawler, so dont expect a Pernell Withaker when he fights.


Second, he fights more control, and technicall with fighters that are dangerous. He Felt Cayo was feather fisted, so he bum rush his ass

not really impressed that much by maidana clearly he was getting outboxed and getting his ass kicked up until he knockdown cayo after the bell had rung. After that cayo was buzzed up and that seriuosly ****ed up all the momentum he had going. Another fighter Joe Cortes screws over not only did maidana hit him after the bell but he hit him on the back of the head Im surprised nobody is even mentioning that up.

The only guy who can beat maidana is ortiz in a rematch. Ortiz could of had made it an easy fight but the dumbass choose to brawl with the guy instead of sticking to his boxing and he should of let the ko come instead of going for it. Maidana had been dropped by ortiz 3 times the accumulated damage would of forced maidana to either not get up from another knockdown or for the team to throw in the towel.

Dumbass ortiz had the fight in the bag but he gave maidana a chance by fighting maidanas fights instead of his. I remember dlh yelling to ortiz use your head after the first knockdown meaning box not brawl. I just don't get why young guys with talent can't listen to their trainers just like cayo couldn't understand to keep his ****ing hands up.

Anyways **** Joe Cortez I hate that son of a ***** I don't understand why he keeps getting championship fights all the time and ****ing up so much.

As much as I wanted Ali to win that fight he clearly lost feel bad for the guy.Guzman is a lowlife I really don't care to watch him fight again.I do wanna see Devon vs Maidana.But I don't think Devon is gonna want none anymore.
