Ward/Dirrell are A class fighters. While Froch/Kessler/AA are C class fighters in America and B+ type fighters in Europe

They are not in the same league

I think the Euros have a lot of soul searching if they think they have truly closed the gap on elite American boxers. They held all the advantages but they have struggled in all 4 matchups and probably only deserved 1 win of the 4. Most people thought the Euros would run right through the Americans. Boy the tables have turned pretty quick. I think some of these posters need to give an apology and admit they were sorely mistaken.

The European fighters simply cannot deal with the styles of Dirrell and Ward.
The Euros are one dimensional and they box in straight lines. They are great ordinary boxers, but Ward/Dirrell are great extraordinary boxers. Simple as that.

How embarrassing

I don't think it's embarrassing as much as it's a credence to the young talent in America.

Dirrell with his own tentativeness was the master of his own downfall in that match with Froch. Had he started against Froch the way he did against Abraham he'd have took a UD. But he was scared to engage for way too many rounds, and by the time he grew in confidence it was seemingly too late even though he was dominating Froch by the end. I'd very much favour Dirrell over Froch. Dirrell lost himself that match.

Superior athleticism. The gap in physical talent between Ward/Dirrell and the Europeans is astounding, and making the big difference in these fights so far. Froch, Kessler, and Abraham are not C fighters, they are all really good fighters but they have fought like they have never seen an opponent so athletic and with such speed.
