    Pretty damn good fight.

Just got back from the Joe and I gotta say that was a highly entertaining fight. Dirrell put on a great show and the only stain on the fight was the whole ending(not sure if he faked it, I plan on rewatching it on tv). Also, thought AA was coming on strong but I doubt he could of changed the bout, Dirrell was up by too many points and imo got ripped on a 2nd knockdown. All in all it was very fun and I was pleasantly surprised that the turn out was pretty good, considering only 3 weeks of selling tickets and little promotion. Just goes to show that boxing can thrive in areas outside of Vegas/NYC/LA and branching out to other cities is a good idea for exposure. I was surprised that there are so many Armenians in the Detroit area.

What did you guys think about the bout and how Dirrell fought? Seems like he is becoming an improved and more complete fighter. As for AA he needs to learn how to start fighting in the early rounds.

Dirrell put on a great performance.

And if AA is more active in the beginning, he'll be much more successful.

Oh btw, this Dominic Birtch kid that fought on the undercard was damn impressive. I don't care if it was against a can, he looked amazing and looks like he has some real skills.

I hated how Dirrell fought against Froch and have criticised him a lot for it (even though I thought he deserved the decision) but tonight he looked great. Very, very impressive performance. It seemed like AA was coming on well towards the end, but I think Dirrell would've taken a UD had it continued.

I don't think he was faking after getting hit while down. He seemed really messed up afterwards in the interview.

I was supporting AA but he was really low class tonight and deserved to be DQ'd.

I didn't think he did that bad a job. I thought AA got ripped on a knockdown but I also thought he was knocked down a second time, the ropes held him up. It all evened out in the end and although the ending ****** the better man won the fight. You are right though, it could of been a great fight if not for all the slipping, the ending and a few other random ****. I'm glad no riot broke out though. City has had too many problems with that.

Much better stuff from Dirrell, didn't run the whole fight or much of it at all and really sat down on alot of his punches.

I think AA was catching up to him late and maybe could have got him but maybe not....we will never know I guess.

I think in Europe the Birtch fight was shown. Either way keep an eye out for this kid because he looks like he has some goods. I'm surprised this board isn't going nuts over the ending. I expected a lot of mud slinging from the Euros and a lot of Americans pounding their chests.
