This is a fight and that shouldnt have been a DQ
What on Earth are you babbling about?

The biased opposition need to get this straight:

One fighter slipped in the ring corner, had his gloves on the canvas and got punched intentionally. That's illegal and you'll get DQ'd - nothing new in that.

Roy Jones didn't complain when he did the same thing to Griffin in their first bout. Of course Jones was pissed but he accepted the DQ and wanted to dominate Griffin from the start in the 2nd fight.

"Protect yourselves at all times" - but how on Earth can you protect yourself if you're already down on your knees with both hands on the canvas? Just asking...

AA should have admitted his foul play, give credit to Dirrell for fighting a good fight and just let it go and sit it off. He would have "won" something but now he goes home with a DQ/loss + being an ass by not admitting he did anything wrong and calling Dirrell "a bad boxer and a good actor". He could've damaged Dirrell for good with that sucker-punch.

AA just lost a lot of respect.

Clearly a foul. It's one of the first rules the ref reads out to the fighters. Abraham clearly pauses knowing Dirrell is down before fouling him.

Same thing should have happened when Barrera hit Marquez when he was down.

Why is evryone disgusted with AA for Ko'ing Dirrell. This is boxing, he go KTFO. I cant believe the showtime ring commentator said to AA after the fight ''actualy he's badly hurt'', asw though he'd kicked a puppy. Its his job to knock the ****er out.

            Copied from the previous thread:

To people who say Dirrell acted: go hit yourself with a brick, and then ask your friends what were you acting and saying after that...

To people who say Abraham cheated: don`t be pathetic! Have you ever stepped into the ring? Do you know how to control yourself? You don`t know what was at stake for Abraham! I don`t think it was intentional... Wlad almost did the same to Chambers recently... RJJ kncoked out Griffin same way... It wasn`t intentional; he just didn`t feel the moment to stop attacking...

As you obviously know absolutely nothing about the rules of boxing, get the f.uck out of this forum. This is a boxing forum, for people who know something about the sport.

Lawrence Cole doesn't know the rules either. I don't condone what Abraham did. But I think the ****ty reffing job of letting Dirrel get away with low blows and not calling that one knockdown is what would trigger any fighter to do what Abraham did simply out of frustration.

AA got what he deserve. Remember this news ?
While Miranda was still on the canvas being attended to by the ring doctor, Alexander Abraham, Arthur's brother, kicked Miranda in the head. That prompted someone from Miranda's corner to try to get into the ring with a folding chair. It took on a WWE twist. But this hatred and venom was real.

Alexander Abraham was arrested by the Seminole Tribal Police; he later was turned over to the Broward County Sheriff's Office and taken to jail. He was awaiting bail late Saturday night. Arthur Abraham was fined $100,000 by the Florida State Athletic Commission for failure to control his entourage

Only one of the blows Abraham complained about was clearly low, the rest were borderline. And both fighters got away with knock downs that weren't given, so while two wrongs don't make a right, it went both ways, so you can't put it down to bias. And although the knock-down of Dirrell should have been given, HBO had to replay it three times before their commentators were certain about that, so it wasn't all that surprising that in the heat of the moment, without the benefit of replays, the ref should have got that wrong. Dirrell did trip, but a punch landed just before that, and the ref obviously saw the trip rather than the punch. An honest mistake, and not a case of not knowing the rules. Not saying it was a great refereeing performance, but it wasn't biased and it wasn't as bad as you say it was.

The irony is that AA had a good chance of getting a legitimate KO, if he hadn't lost his cool. Dirrell was really starting to fold under the pressure. It could have been another ending like Froch-Taylor.

What does Alex have to do with anything. I know them both personally, I would expect something like this from Alex because he is one of the most immature people I know, but Arthur is a class act. I like many others in this forum have been in the ring. It is hard to control yourself especially when you know you are in a whole. I talked to Arthur a few hours after the fight, he said he was caught up and he didnt hear the ref say anything. He was already swinging but didnt want to hit him hard while he was on a knee. But you cant compare this incident to Rjj's. Lol, the guy hit him 3 times while he was down
