I think he was hurt, he was really hurt from Abrahams punches, Dirrell wouldn't have even known what his name was from the round before nothing to do with the punch on the ground. I think AA can get points deducted at the end of the day you can't hit a person when your down but **** me I think Direll faked it bad.

I haven't felt this pissed off since Grosso took a dive against Australia in the last World Cup.

Dirrell fought great but he never owned Abraham the fight was just changing and Direll was still in la la land from the round before there would have been a knock out in the 12 for sure.

Are you ******? Dirrell was obviously down, and to kick it off, he slipped in ABRAHAMS CORNER! The same corner the ref had to stop the action to dry off once before in the fight.

Did you watch the replay? He landed clean on the jaw and spun Dirrells head clean around.

          2. Dirrell pretended to have a bad back to move the fight to Detroit, all that messed up Dirrell's sleeping patterns and training schedule

          3. The referee called Abraham's clean knockdown of Dirrell a slip. The knockdown of Abraham by Dirrell was actually more of a slip.

          4. The referee protected Dirrell and stopped the action when Abraham had Dirrell against the ropes

          5. The referee "failed" to call the bad cut to Abraham eyebrow was from a headbutt

          6. Dirrell was not all the way down when Abraham hit him. His legs were bent in a squat but he was not 100% down.

          7. Dirrell should win an academy award for his acting - he wasn't really so badly hurt. But I think the commentators knew, they just wanted to see a Dirrell win.
          1. The ref was awful period, not anymore towards Abraham than Dirrell. The guy was bad period.

          2. Excuses.

          3. Absolutely true, that was a flush punch to the chin, ref screwed up.

          4. Not really, Dirrell was rarely ever up against the ropes for the ref to rescue him from.

          5. Also true, no disagreement.

          6. Come on. Dirrell was down. It wasn't even close.

          7. Irrelevant. Dirty punch a fighter should NEVER throw. He wound up for a good second or two after Dirrell was clearly on the ground.

Dirrell wasn't prepared for that punch, of course it snapped his senses. Shame on AA, he's a likable guy, but that was inexcusable.

Abraham got taken to boxing school tonight. Dirrell fought a masterful fight and deserves all the credit due. Take your emotions out of it and give the kid props. Be a real fan! Dirrell was clearly sitting on his ass with his gloves on the ring when Abraham paused and loaded his right before illegally KO'ng Dirrell. It was disgraceful and panic stricken on Abraham's part. To say Dirrell faked it when the Doctor even verified it is insane and childish. All you have to do is look at the official score cards.

Further, Dirrell put Abraham down in the 7th as well and didn't get credit for it so Cole's terrible ref job went both ways.

When I first saw it I thought Dirrell could continue and was playing the shot up. After the replay though it changed my mind. The shot landed clean on the chin. I dunno man. Was a bad punch to throw and the dq was the correct call. I do wish Dirrell would have been able to finish on his feet and win a ud.

I'm American and I agree with anyone who was aghast at Laurence Cole's refereeing. Even apart from his ridiculous call in the 10th to take away Abraham's legit knockdown, he really seemed to be favoring Dirrell and made the U.S. look as bad as most European countries. Having said that, anyone who knows anything about the basic rules of the sport must know that the DQ was the correct and justified thing to do; even if you think (as AA did) that Dirrell was acting.

                    He's a good actor.

Dirrell was getting tired and had been hurt by hard punches in the last couple of rounds.

Dirrell outboxed abraham all fight, as mst people thought he would. Arthur got frustrated and made a mistake.
