Do you have proof? If so it goes with what I've always said. They're two different sports with two different fan bases. Like Baseball and Football. Never understood this rivarly. It's silly. If anything I think MMA fans are stealing Pro Wrestling fans. Not boxing.

      I agree.

I find a lot of sport fans tend to know a thing or two about boxing, in general the MMA crowd is the "entertainment crowd" such as WWE fans or just people that throw parties a lot.

this is true...i've read this same article about a week ago...i remember the HBO ppv representatives or other people that deal with ppv events were the one's with all the quotes in this article

mma (but most especially the ufc, with dana white) are doing everything possible to compete with boxing - even if he says they aren't...i've noticed that whenever there is a boxing card going on (other than boxing's big names), the ufc along with the versus channel and ****e tv, will play something to get viewers as well...you know, and they got this show on ****e called primetime or something, is ufc's best impression of HBO's 24/7 lol..

i mean personally im a fight fan, but a huge boxing fan...and i could see how u are saying the ufc is taking wwe fans or w/e, but dana white is doing his best to get all fight fans, including boxing...

but to me, i always hear the ufc mentioning bad things about their differences with boxing, when in reality their whole blueprint to their standup and more importantly, their exposure is based on what boxing is and has done.

its like when lil wayne tried to diss jay z (when that's his idol), and jay z came out with a song telling lil wayne to relax, cuz jay's DNA is in wayne's blood lol...

it's w/e though....to me, boxing will never die

alway said that MMA is for the WWE and TNA crowd with kids and drunks wanting to watch something violent being there target audience should't even be considered a sport IMO
