I wouldn't promote him anymore. As a fighter, I wouldn't even want to fight him. I shook my head the first time he did it and for a second time? That's just a lack of respect for everything that involves boxing and his career.
how the **** do you come in 9pounds overweigght??

This is deliberate to get unfair advantage. He did notice when Funeka fought Campbell,Campbell had unfair adavantage because of his weightRight. I don't know if this was carelessness, lack of training or deliberately coming overweight to gain an unfair advantage, but everytime I think about it I say "What the hell?!". I mean I can understand two, or even four if your struggling...But 9!? Most fighters don't even hydrate that much over the limit...Comment

This is actually the third time he hasn't made weight(i.e. Jauregui,Campbell and now).Comment

The weird thing about Guzman is that he always seems to look ridiculously ripped and muscular at weigh-ins, at least in the fights I've seen him in. Not an ounce of fat on him. And yet he repeatedly turns up overweight. What's up with that? Is he a gym rat or something? Whatever, it's extremely unprofessional and I wish him all the worst in his upcoming fight.Comment

coming overweight is unprofessional, coming in 9 lbs overweight is down right disrespect and a disgrace..................
guzman is garbage for that stunt, again.....................Comment

He did it on purpose to gain a big advantage, he still remembers the whooping he took in the last fight. He isn't worried about the title, he knew he would not win the fight anyways
so might as well give yourself some kind of leverage.Comment

How do you go ahead and step on the scale when you are NINE pounds over??? Why not just tell the commission and opposing camp beforehand? Was he hoping the scale was broken?
This fight should be cancelled. I understand why Funeka has agreed to continue with the fight though. It would be a minor financial disaster for him to turn down this payday after months of training. This is probably the largest purse of his career, and they also gave him another $25K to agree to fight. It's BS though.
