This is just gonna make Guzman look worse after he loses again. I've never heard of a fighter coming in nine pounds overweight. That **** is foul.

[QUOTE=jrosales13;7900981]Tomorrow night’s 12-rounder between Joan Guzman (29-0-1, 17 KOs) and Ali Funeka (30-2-3, 25 KOs) is still on – but it will not be for the IBF lightweight title, at least for one of the fighters. Earlier today, Guzman weighed in nine pounds heavy, at 144, while Funeka made weight at 135. A deal was struck between camps allowing the fight to go on – providing that Guzman does not weigh more than 150 lbs. tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. If Funeka defeats the overweight Guzman, he will also be allowed to bring the IBF lightweight title home to South Africa.

Hnestly, can't say this was unexpected. I told someone that Guzman came in 40 lbs overweight. Guzman doesn't even belong at 135; he's smaller then that and still can't make it. Dude eats alot, nothing more I can say. He better get serious because his punching power would suck at 140. Anyway, Guzman has a serious advantage tomorrow.Comment

9 over the limit? And the emergency condition is just 1 pound over that? There is even a good chance this fight will not push through! With or without this fight happening, Guzman is finished. He shouldnt be allowed to fight again.Comment
