so easy to say when you are not the one in the ring... fail tread to me
you guys spend your time sayinq this guy ducked this dude etc etc but all you doing is sitting on your sofa and watching them beat the crap out of each other....

true mayweather certainly has the talent to go down as one of the greatest but it is not his goal, the guy wants to have a normal life after boxing I cant blame him for this... aly fought for greatness look where it lead him ( and it is one example out of many...) i respect this way I aint the one who has to live with the sickness...

on the other hand mayweather fights for himself and his family... he just want be in good shape when he leaves boxing... i dont blame him for this because life dont stop when you are out of the spot lights so in the end I respect both ways

Floyd is just the 21st century equivalent of Muhammad Ali in the 50s.

As long as he fights real deal opponents in his career, when all is said and done, everyone will love him.

I don't care if he fights for belts or not I just want to see him in there with guys like Mosley (his next opponent) and Pacquiao. I wouldn't want to see those fights any less if Shane and Manny didn't have belts.

cant blame him for wanting to ensure his family of the good life, but he shouldnt be complaining about his legacy either

Floyd made a good point with that comment.

Here's a quote from a hero of mine who was a football manager.
"It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory."

Floyd not having that mentality will stop him from going down as one of the greatest and to be honest perhaps he does have the talent to have been.
Spurs fans are even more deluded than Floyd, they are the England national team equivalent club side.

A small club who think they are big because they won a couple of cup comps Lol

everyone want to hat floyd because he doesnt box for the ppl, he does this he dont fight exciting. if u ask me, hes smart. look at what happend to past baclk boxing champs.

joe louis, a ppls champ "pride of the nation", died in poverty and relatively obsucrity. did the hall of fame look after him?? did white americans give a damn??? no, he got help from black underworld figures and a guy he had beaten that was supposed to be his enemy.

look at mike tyson...he was the most exciting heavyweight of his day. he gets in trouble for ****, makes some bad decisions and goes to jail for a while. he comes out tries to restart his career but all he does is cause himself more toruble and lose his fortune. did these so called fans care??? does anyone help him feed his family?? no, he has to look after himself, no1s gonna do it for him no matter how exciting of a fighter he used to be.

ppl care about what you do in the ring. the minute that glory is gone, ppl dont care if u dide under a bridge. u get in that ring and you look after yourself. you be honest with yourself. gloy is fleeting, sure u should go after it, but dont give your all to it beause the minute you are all spent, no1 will care. floyd understands this better than most. and i aint mad at him.

Ok, belts won't feed his grand kids blah blah blah. If ur gonna be more of a businessman than a boxer don't go around claiming ur the best ever, you're greater than Ray Robinson, Ali etc. Those guys were fighters who fought ALL COMERS. Floyd is the P Diddy of boxing.

The belts won't pay for college either.
