Manny Still hasn't fought any slick fighters!

When you have to use Cotto as an example of being slick, not good.
I don't think I've seen another top level fighter be as hurt and stunned as Cotto has. Stands there and gets tagged. Plus what he was doing was what I would say was running scared moreso than being slick. He showed some boxing ability against Mosley, but I wouldn't confuse slick tendencies for having a slick style.
Anyway its biased, but I think it drives home a point. The only thing that makes me **** my head against the wall is that they mention Valero as a potential 140 pounder that they can fight, but I haven't heard a peep about AlexanderComment

Trying to state that Cotto is slick to justified Pac fighting that type of style sounds to me like somebody is reaching. Cotto got on his back foot and frustrated Pac a lil. Pac hasn't fought a pure boxer that moves, cirlce and counters. Those fighters are not on Roach's list especially if they have a right hand.Comment

Like what? please explain...
Pac fans have already mentioned Sasukul and ledbawba....so why are you only focusing on Cotto?Trying to state that Cotto is slick to justified Pac fighting that type of style sounds to me like somebody is reaching. Cotto got on his back foot and frustrated Pac a lil. Pac hasn't fought a pure boxer that moves, cirlce and counters. Those fighters are not on Roach's list especially if they have a right hand.
Like the clown above, you guys are real selective in your responses. The question was asked...and shortly answered, so why not dispute the fact that Pac did infact win his first two world titles against slick fighters?
Sasakul>>Cambell, Guzman and Malignaggi as far as slickness is concerned.Comment

So... anyone want to tell me how Cotto beat Mosley?
Seriously... I'm getting a lot of LOLOLOL COTTO SLICK?!?
People have addressed that anyone can look slick against Margarito (I wish I knew what that meant), and that he just ran from Pacquiao (the whole fight apparently), but even Mosley admitted in the post-fight interview that Cotto got on his toes and outboxed him.Comment

I know what you mean, although Cotto didn't really move his head and stood square up in front of Pacquaio plenty times in the fight. He might be talking about that Bradley,Guzman/Mayweather kind of slickness.Comment

Finally, a decent response. I can deal with this...
I mean, there are levels of slickness. Certainly Bradley, Cory Spinks, Guzman, Mayweather, etc. are more slick than Cotto. Does that mean Cotto doesn't have some slickness to him? Hell no it doesn't.
What's funny is that a lot of people bring up Junior Jones as a slick fighter that he ducked. Ignoring that he was on a hell of a losing streak when Pacquaio got to 122, Jones was a hell of a lot more aggressive than these super slicksters. I feel that Cotto can be just as slick as Jones was, and showed some of it in the Mosley and Pacquiao fights.Comment
