go watch floyd vs diego corrales and you have the outcome of mayweather vs maragrito. i kno their styles arent carbon copys but the fight would happen the same way, margs is wayyyyyyy too slow to catch up to mayweather. he couldnt even keep up with mosely and he doesnt have the legs he once had.

lol.....corrales never had the chin like margo my friend and the power aint even comparable......mosely and floyd do not fight alike at all so ther no reason of bringing up that fight....

he's much more powerful but its offset by the fact that JMM is so much more skilled. I dont think he meant that JMM & Margarito are the same. I think he just meant it would be a one sided domination where Margarito wouldnt land clean much on Floyd's D with his slow wide looping punches and Floyd would have target practice on his face. Also, I think we should wait & see Margarito fight before we say what a fight would be like because he truly may not be the same guy without the plaster. Even if he is the same guy, the skill level is probably as big as a gap as there can possibly be in a fight with 2 elite guys. There is no way I can pick Margarito because of that

skils does'nt necesarily win fights.....cotto is overall a better boxer than margo and look wht happened same as mayorga vs forrest....i agreee, there would be a lot of missed punches but how would that matter vs a guy who never stops throwing unless he's hurt , floyd's offensive inactivity would'nt help either.... i just dont see floyd hurtin margo at all.....

Clottey showed a while back that you could beat Marg to the punch and outbox him. People talk like Margarito is a one punch ko guy but hes a pressure guy. I dont think he has the speed or boxing ability to put the right type of press in a fight like that. I would like Cotto style pressure more than Tony style to give Floyd trouble.

He can persue all he wants. If hes not hitting what he is trying to pressure then it still ends up in a loss. We could go back and in forth about why baldo happened over tony but it wont go anywhere because I know how u are.

Floyd will clinch up a storm and cut Margarito's workrate by alot. He will move and roll alot of punches, Tony will be hitting air most of the time but won't get stopped due to Floyd not having Shane's offensive arsenal and punching power.
