I'm trying to argue against some posters who are acting like hes fighting a guy coming from 135.

Jose Miguel Cotto, is a ****ing natural LW dude, stop trying to pretend he isnt.

Dude, was weighting 210+ pounds 10 months ago. He is getting in boxing shape right now, hence him fighting at 142. He has fought 3 ****ing bums at that weight, just to get the ring rust out. He will be capaining at LW/JWW.

He had NO amateur background, So that's why they're taking it slowly. Read my other post, In his contract with GB he has 3 fights this year, One against a top 10 WW.. Probably Alfonso Gomez.

Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. No AMA experience at all. Pick up boxing at 21 years old. In his 18 bout he won the WBO 122 pounds title. So spare me, the he doesnt have any amateur fights or whatever!

JM Cotto does have a experience and a slight speed advantage....but I'm actually rethinking the fight.

and he won it against a 19yo with less pro fights who was moving up 2 divisions.

alvarez is a 19yo competing in a man's division, ppl who say he should be fighting the top wws right now are being flat out unreasonable...
